Coveting the beauty of Pan Jinlian, Ximen Qing bribes Granny Wang to get her. When Wu Dalang, Pan’s husband, tries to catch the adulterous couple in bed, he gets kicked, spits out blood, falls to the ground, and passes out. Incited by and conspiring with Granny Wang and Ximen Qing, Pan poisons Wu Dalang to death. In order to avenge his older brother, Wu Song kills Pan, offering her blood to Wu Dalang as a sacrifice, and chops off Ximen Qing’s head, personally ending the life of the foe.
