broke his moral code and sold his soul to get power from another, went on to fight a fat ass he though he could take in battle only to get an ass kicking in front of his own son no less, blew himself up going to hell only to find out that the creature you died trying to kill not only lived but your rival who you though you caught up to was sandbagging you the whole time...... the buu arc was not kind to vegeta and to make matters worse when he was brought back he found out his wife was dead and his only son was a part of the same creature he failed to kill

I like to think Vegeta went into the afterlife talking mad shit about beating Goku until someone says “You beat him in ssj3?”

I remember when Vegeta was a selfish, ego driven jerk ass. Even after marrying Bulma and having a baby, Vegeta paid more attention to his training than to his family. It was only after he swallowed his pride (during the final battle against Majin Buu) that Vegeta let go of his obsession of trying to surpass Goku and started working to be a better father/husband.

In Dragon Ball Super, Vegeta's proven to be just as good a parent as Goku is (maybe even better). However, he still trains himself so that the gap in power between him and Goku won't grow any larger. Also, while Vegeta has become more willing to fuse with his rival (if it means saving his family), he's reluctant to do it a second time, despite having seen how effective fusion is. All in all, Vegeta has matured quite a lot from the royal pain Goku first fought against in the Saiyan Saga, but he's still the cocky Saiyan Prince he always will be.

Its like watching a married couple. Reason why Kakavege became a strong thing due to the Buu Saga. "stay away from me" lmao.. I love Vegeta so much. Shame on Goku for being unfaithful.

Goku got knocked out by Vegeta before Vegeta sacrificed himself. If Goku hadn’t have been knocked out he would’ve won anyways, he could’ve gone SSJ3 but since he still had his halo he couldn’t as he would’ve gone back to King Kai faster.

real talk SSJ3 eats through way too much stamina so he had no intent of using it except in desperate measures. It was the old issue of SSJ2 when nobody could perfect it except here you lose more of your power than you can keep.

I mean, if Goku had used it he wouldn't have been able to remain on Earth, and they would have lost to Buu anyways. He did fight him with all of his capabilities that were available to him in that moment. SSJ3 is useless anyways, he's never won a single important battle using it.
