Install Windows 11 on the Steam Deck SSD Using a microSD Card

Hi PunchBro, i am already at Windows start up, but during connection for wifi, i dont see the option of "I DONT HAVE INTERNET" it just says you need to connect to an internet to continue with windows set up. What to do? Thank you and great video!

What if I want to put Windows on my SD card?

Brother I would like to ask you a question, can you install windows on the sd card and have steamOS/Linux on the main Hdd of the steam deck?

When deleting the SteamOS drives there are three I cannot delete "drive 1 phantom 1 ESD USB", "drive 1 unallocated space" and the last one also says "drive 1 unallocated space". Not sure if I should continue with the tutorial still or not. Help would be appreciated!
I've run into another problem.... No internet even with the driver installed (I think).

Edit: so I'm using a 5TB hard drive instead of an SD card so the other drives seem to be the unused spaced of the hard drive because I had to reformat it.

The steam deck community's saids that having window on micro sd is a bad idea because it will be burn out faster due to the heavy use for it but i dont know whay do you think? @Punchbro

After I install windows in SD card and shutting down, the SD car will no longer show up in the boot manager, any help?

Drivers installed automatically? At the wifi portion I couldn't skip but I was able to sign in to my network and connect.

I did the windows 11 installation but now my SD card not getting recognized or something... I noticed when i downloaded steam warzone 2 ...and also I got the steam deck controller to work but it's stuttering every minute changed outside game boot setting from 1g to 4g what do I need to do to have it run smooth as butter?

I want to buy a sd card for this. I see that I have enough with 256 gigs. But I also see a reading speed, like 80 mb/s to 150 mb/s and more. What is the best? Or doesn't it matter what the reading speed is?

Thanks for the video, but I have one more question. After installing Windows, can you remove the SD card and then boot between Windows and SteamOS? Because I want both operating systems to be in the internal memory so I can use the SD card for the games.

Do you have to delete the steam os for this to work? How did you get the sd card to boot to media creation tool and even appears as a bootable device?

When downloading windows 11 on the steamdeck are u able to download for free games i ask cuz i dont like the idea to have to buy games on the steam store in stead of them being free

I tried using windows to run straight off ssd like other guides show and it absolutely just doesn’t work. Using high end Sandisk micro sd that’s over spec and games start to open but never launches things freeze and take forever

Question: Can I install the Win 11 on ssd, together with Steam os? I plan to have the os's (SteamOS and Windows 11) on ssd and files/games stored in sd card. Is this possible? or should they be separated one on ssd and the other on sd card?

Installation Worked, but i don't have any audio? Drivers either don't work or were not installed. Also only limited steamdeck functionality. I have to use the touch screen 50% of the time.

Everything worked fine, however, the sd card keeps disappearing after installation. Not too sure if that’s a driver issue but it’s annoying

Is it ok to single boot the 64gb emmc to windows 11? Or shoul i change it to nvme ssd? Because someone told be that the 64gb emmc will break after many months because the windows reads to much files
