Can I have the blank video?

I didn't quite understand what I was doing wrong when creating my track matte in after effects, but you told me it had to be a transparent file type! Argh... I really wish there was some more flexibility here OBS! MOV files can get very large and seem somewhat inefficient; if you had the option to do 2 masks and one mp4 file, that would be awesome OBS.

Apparently, the "separate file" capability is no longer available. They appear to have removed it from 27.0.1. However, you explanation has been pretty key in helping me figure out how to create a few transitions myself. Thanks for this deep dive!

there is no option separate file even i have the non beta version of v27. why?

do track matte files have to be .mov with transparency?
Having made about a dozen new track matte stingers in advance of OBS 27 coming out, using .mp4 for the track matte, I'm hoping OBS will use luminance value rather than alpha value.
My stingers are of course in .mov for transparent pixels.
