Only upper middle class or wealthier can afford solar panels and EV's especially if they need a truck for what they do even with tax credits. You have to pay even after a tax credit often $20k+ and many have too poor of credit and don't qualify based on income eligibility. If you need a fully EV truck good luck spending $40k+ on a used one meanwhile you can find a decade old truck for under $10k easily. The monthly payments for many EV's would be close to my rent which is $450 a month not to mention higher cost insurance compared to just a $50 minimum plan. They will get cheaper but I doubt under $10k for a fully EV truck or panels for only $100-$200 a month financed that will make your bill drop by close to that much. Only 1% of the vehicles registered on the road in the US are fully EV and I don't see even in a decade that being 20%. Its emotions and irrational thinking verses logic and it hurts the middle class and poorer people because their taxes subsidize the wealthier who can afford these things.
