3 Allegedly True Home Alone Horror Stories

These stories always make me sad about our education system, seeing that we have so many young people who have no basic language skills.

HOME ALONE

Something similar happened to me when I was a teenager.

One night I was home alone and it had started getting dark outside. So I turned some interior lights on and proceeded to go around and close the blinds and drapes. When I got to my brother's room, which was on the side of the house by our backyard, I reached up to grab the blind wand to close the blinds. Just then someone pounded on the window. I froze. I couldn't move for what seemed like an eternity but in reality was probably only a few seconds. I obviously couldn't see outside so I closed the blinds and hurriedly ran to the other rooms and closed those blinds and drapes. I then turned on all of the exterior lights and floodlights.

All of the windows and doors were locked so I didn't have to worry about that. Dad had trained us to at least do that. I should have called the police but I was so freaked out that it just didn't occur to me. Well I told him what happened and that weekend he put up a fence with locking gates on either side.

Here's the thing. We lived in the very back of an upscale housing edition a block away from the lake. This was in the 80's and crime just didn't happen in our area back then. Nobody on our street would do anything like that and to this day I have no idea of who it could have been. 🤔

One time I saw a guy walking around my backyard I thought it was a pool guy little did I know my mom started taking care of the pool herself I freaked out when I remembered that I looked again they were gone and I saw them trying to open my back door and like banging on it he didn’t see me and my dog ran and barked at him from the inside and he ran off I was home alone at the time too

It is true hear a noise while you’re home alone you do imagine the worst

That third story straight up gave me an anxiety attack. He was there ALL NIGHT OH MY GOD.

Story 1: I wish we would know the update about his neck

We dont lock our door only bc me n my brothers dont have a key we used to before but if one of us forgot out key we would be locked out my younger brother attends middle school while me and my brother are in high school we ride the bus and dont have a car to drive so my younger brother would wait a while but my mom isnt that concerned since "we live in a white neighborhood" we still lock the doors somtimes when they go out

In story 3: I don’t understand that what’s the need to get out of the house, you know that your dog doesn’t growl often or even at times.... I would have rather been inside and locked the doors and windows, while calling the police. Such bravery of getting out of your way doesn’t always work.

I always loved being home alone as kid, except at night. I was terrified of our basement and even during the day time I would run up the stairs like something was chasing me every single time.

Nothing like in these stories ever really happened to me, but I remember one of the first times being alone at night and I was in the living room watching TV and I kept staring at the end of the kitchen that turned to go to the stairs to the basement. It was so dark. I was afraid to even walk into the kitchen. It was so irrational, but the fear alone would nearly make me piss myself.

I couldn't imagine something actually happening. I would have died of fright.

The first one - he has true friends

Legally a 10 year old can't baby sit. In most states the legal age is s 14.

For the first story, I noticed that background noise was from breaking bad 😂

The things that make me not believe story 1 is that he fell from a second story window hurting his neck but wasn’t severely hurt and the police finding multiple guns in the house. The robbers wouldn’t of just left the guns if they were looking for someone. If it is true though, I feel terrible for the child that dealt with it.

I'm a 43 year old woman. I've always kept my door locked. Always. Even when my husband is home.

The 2nd story isn’t exactly a “Home Alone” story. It’s a “Home Alone with my Brother Story.”
