I was forced to sit thru Elemental, which is supposed to be doing well in Streaming versus its collapse in the theatres. Dull, very mediocre, poorly drawn pixar animation, predictable plotting and woke themes. My very smart 8 year old grandson gave it a charitable 6 out of 10. With regard to Snow White, everyone involved with it at Disney from the lead actors to producers and director have been so snarky and supercilious in the press, they don't deserve success or our discretionary dollars.

I use to love all of these oldschool disney movies when I was a child. Nowdays all of these remakes push some woke ideology instead of portrating the real story. Why would you make a remake of something when you are changing every aspect of it anyway?

They could just make their own movie about their story and not take classics that are really good and just have that nostalgia feeling. Same with Cleopatra film or tv series, she was a white queen of egypt or what ever and made her black, they create black versions of white historical people instead of making movies about black people who were successful.

First of all the Disney movie was an adaptation of the Brothers Grimm story to where the story was not about love but of trust and friendship and the consequences of envy like all brothers Grimm stories it was dark and the part about the prince kissing her to life was not part of the actual story but made up by disney. Here I thought this channel was about TRUTH.

These movies do a real disservice to women. We fought long and hard to get to where we are, we are flawed and have interesting character arches. If you take that away you dehumanise women by putting them on a pedestal. People can see that's not real or connectable and so the less mature of them will see that as a problem with women. Hollywood and the people running it are not connected to reality. Write real women and the world will relate to them in the same way they relate to well written men.
There's nothing wrong with love and connection and maybe her arch could have been overcoming her fear affection and vulnerability with another person who would be her equal
