Planetary won't lock to get paddle off
ОтветитьIs it possible to insert the brushes incorrectly or do they fit only one way?
ОтветитьBowel sticking lol
ОтветитьYou should do a grease repack on that puppy.
ОтветитьThank you for this video. I was recently given a KitchenAid same model and first problem was in leaked so I took it apart and repacked the grease. I was having a problem with the Tilt head bouncing up and down while mixing pizza dough and now I know why. I've got it nice and tight now thanks to the video. Cheers!
ОтветитьThanks for an explainer! I had no idea the screw at the top of the neck was to adjust the head tilt. I thought that secured the neck, not that turning left would solve the problem.
ОтветитьThis is what I like about these KitchenAid mixers. Parts are generally easy to acquire and repairs are often quite simple to make once you see the instructions (particularly videos like this). Being able to make these kind of repairs at home save money as well as having to ship the mixer back to KitchenAid to be repaired. Thanks for a great video That Dad Mike.
ОтветитьWhat is the function of the brushes?
ОтветитьI thought my mixer was dying. It wobbled and that also helped work the hinge pin loose. that hinge pin came out one day and the top came loose. I've been holding it when using for a while worrying about it getting worse and today decided to look into it and it's fixed with a couple of screwdriver turns!!!
ОтветитьThank you soo much!!! You were detailed and informative, now I'm not that intimidated to make these tune ups myself!!!
ОтветитьOMG! Thank you! I just fixed my mixer!!!!!!!!🎉🎉
ОтветитьI can't get the beaters out like I used to???
ОтветитьTHIS WAS VERY HELPFUL THANK YOU SO MUCH!
ОтветитьI just purchased my first KitchenAid stand mixer which will be delivered today. I now know what to do and what to buy should anything go wrong. Thank you 😊
ОтветитьThat last three you adjusted. Does it not raise and lower where your attachments going to be in the bowl? I have the 4.5 quart KitchenAid and my head has been wobbling terribly lately and I don't know how to fix it. I have adjusted the last screw that you showed and all it does is lift the beater up and down to get it closer to the edge of the bowl. If my model is a different model than yours, do you know how I would adjust the head of mine to stop wobbling so much?
ОтветитьThank you! So helpful!
ОтветитьThanks for the laugh about the fixing the mixing "bowel".
ОтветитьCan’t thank you enough for making this video!
ОтветитьHi Mike: don’t judge me but I’ve been wondering for the past 2 decades why my 34 year old KitchenAid stand mixer was wobbling and the pin would work it’s way out unless I keep my thumb on it. Guess what! When I turned the machine over, there’s no screw to turn! Are you able to let me know what to ask for at the hardware store? Thank you for the informative video.
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьThank you for the video! One question, have you ever dealt with a lock not locking? I think there is a screw loose inside, but not sure.
ОтветитьThis was so incredibly helpful! Thank you so so much! I think KitchenAid probably hates you cause you're saving people a lot of money on repairs and new mixers 😂
ОтветитьThank you so much! You were so helpful! I was able to fix the issues with my kitchen aid-you didn’t rush through each step and I appreciate that so much!
ОтветитьWhat happens if you put the brush is wrong
ОтветитьYou just saved me hundreds bro!!
ОтветитьThank you so much for showing and explained so clearly. I should be able to fix problems with Kitchen Aid,
Thank you
Thanks. Very useful demonstration 👍
ОтветитьMine doesn’t have that type of pin, and the flathead screw is a Torx 15 for me.
Ответитьthank you so much I was screwing the other way !! it worked
ОтветитьYou replaced the bowl plate because it was locked into position but isn't that what's its supposed to do? Great video. Shiw us the bowl removal with new plate.
ОтветитьI agree wholeheartedly. When the pin on my stand mixer came right out, I thought I was in for a new one. Thank you for saving me that expense! Tell me please, I have an older model, where did you find those brushes on Amazon? Is there a name for them?
ОтветитьWay to expensive of an appliance to have all these problems. Anyone recommend a better quality mixer?
ОтветитьThank you, what do you do if the pin has come out completely?
ОтветитьThank you for the tips. I need to replace the plate and the springs.
ОтветитьThanks for your helpful and straightforward explanation!
ОтветитьYou just saved me $200 - I was ready to throw away my mixer - Thank you,
ОтветитьNot sure if you meant it as a joke, but the title screen before the bowl fix says Fix Sticking Mixing Bowel. Yep, nothing worse than loose bowels. :)
ОтветитьThanks for the video! The tip about orienting the brushes correctly saved me a lot of time and headache. I thought I broke my wife's machine because it wasn't turning back on but turned out I had just installed one of the brushes incorrectly. THANK YOU!
ОтветитьI cannot thank you enough for this video! I am so grateful I found it through a Google search because now I can use my mixer again without an expensive repair!!
ОтветитьGreat tutorial! My machine was wobbly and bucking. Got those adjustments done. However before I found your video, I removed the side screw and the bushing popped out. I put it back per your instruction, but my machine does not turn on. Any idea what the problem is and how to solve?
ОтветитьNow put the bowl and the beater back on and see if you have the right amount of clearance between bowl and beater. Some of them need to have the head adjusted up a little bit to clear and when you do that the lock won't work anymore.
ОтветитьThank you! The section on the loose hinge pin helped myself and my mom fix her mixer where the pin had totally fallen out!
ОтветитьThanks. You have solved 2 of my issues. Do you know much about the mechanism around the auxiliary port for accessories? My meat grinder does not rotate or grind the meat when connected.
ОтветитьI bought a used one and found that the bowl would twist past lock. The bottom of the bowl was worn. So I drilled a stainless steel screw into th bowl and slightly ground half the head of the screw just enough to fit into the base. Now it twists into lock position.. .we'll see how long it lasts
ОтветитьJust came across this very helpful video that saved me from tossing my 20 year old Classic model. Thank you so much for helping me fix the few annoying things (quite a severe wobble and holding the hinge pin in place constantly, haha) that my mixer was doing the past couple of years. I do have a Bosch that I use for bread and pizza dough because I can do bigger batches in it. But I love this little mixer for a simple cake or some cookies or a batch of icing. I just told my husband last week that I thought I needed a new one and I was so sad about it because it was purchased when we had our first child and there a so many memories attached to it. So thanks! Off to order a new plate for the bottom and some new bushings so when those need to be replaced, I'll be ready:)
ОтветитьThank you! Now I will be fearless when I fix the mixer’s wobble !
ОтветитьThank you!!! Your 10 minute video gave me everything I needed to get my 20+ year mixer back to working like new. :) Thanks so much!
ОтветитьGreat job your screw adjustment fixed the dough hook bouncing. Thanks for the great video.
ОтветитьThank you kind man for saving life and money, for warbling I was turning right direction so badly 😅and it was getting worse and worse
Ответитьthank you so much for this video. I was hitting the pin back in and didn't know why the bowl would get stuck my husband said something about brushes. I didn't even know that was there. this was so very helpful
