Developers dont take the PC gaming industry seriously anymore. Whereas, the games on Xbox (also running Windows 10) and PlayStation, have a much better ports in comparison.

Windowz lappys has non soldered ram and changeable too extended storage and last extended gpu if you really want it.

I am a web developer and designer. I know coding but my primary work is on WordPress + Elementor websites. I am using MacBook Air M1 since last 2 years almost and I can say this was the best option back then and this is the best option right now for 85% people out there. It still runs 14 hours at battery health of 92%. Yes, as Hanoor said, Android development is much faster than what you have in Windows. And iOS development is butter smooth. I am using 8GB Ram with 256 GB storage and that's more than enough for me. If you are into video making then you may go for 16GB or more. All the softwares run super fine. I love this stuff. Also, as of now, it is so much cheaper at 65k-70k INR, I would recommend M1 over M2 and M3. Only buy those chips if you need extra ordinary performance. M1 is still powerful and efficient than many modern intel and AMD laptops out there. Also, screen, keyboard, speakers, trackpad on MacBook is just another level. Windows laptop does not come even close to the built quality. However, I manage servers as well therefore I do wish if someday I have the same quality of laptop with Linux in it.

You should mention the configurations of both machines you are comparing.

Traditional intel/amd U series CPUs commonly found in windows laptops don't target best/almost best performance like M1 Pro. Obviously M1 Pro is going to be much faster than these CPUs if M1 pro is compared against these CPUs.

The real competition has always been linux. It has never been windows

I only use the battery of my notebook, if there really is no power plug anywhere close. If I used the battery all the time, it would degrade very fast.

I think there are some compatibility issues with M2 MacBook pro for Anaconda. I was working with one of my friends MacBook and I had this issue.

You should also mention the configuration of system you were using earlier. Let's say if you're migrating from i5 8th Gen or similar sort, then you'll feel the difference. But if you're already using high end laptop processor then difference won't be much.
