Hey do you have to have an accountant to be able to get a self employed mortgage? Im a sole trader and have never had one as my income is low i didnt feel like i needed one but now im scared this will affect everything ☹️

I've found mortgages tricky as a director of a limited company! My bank didn't seem to know whether I should be classed as self-employed or not!
