The Best PSP Racing Game You Forgot About

I had finished couple times before back then on the emulator, what i'm still disappointed about is the lack of race editor, political in cruise mode and lack of SUVs and low riders due to the PSP's limitations.

i played the shit out of this game back in the days on my psp damn man, good times :(

While this game recieved generally negative reviews on release (79/100 on Metacritic), I still enjoyed it quite a bit at times and it was my introduction to Midnight Club LA.

I started play this version in november of 2021 and i still completing the Tokyo career for first time.

I remember playing this on my PSP as a kid I wasn't good at it but I remember having fun

I will never forget the moment I 100% both maps on my PSP.

I liked this game what disappointed me was that there was nothing to do after beating the game meanwhile after Beating MC3 there was more to do even after beating the game …

I remembered playing this game almost every chance I got. It was and still is very addicting.

I played this, Burnout Legends, and Cars: The Video game

referring to the oddly sensitive buttons in menus, it's a emulation issue, on the actual psp hardware the menus ran at a oddly laggy and stuttery 15-20-ish fps and to compensate the button presses were made more sensitive

You gimped yourself out of a better experience, the midnight 3 port on the psp has its framerate tied to the clockspeed of the mips 3000 processor, in ppsspp you can unlock the framerate by setting the emulated clockspeed to 1000mhz. Meaning the fps will run at 60fps instead of 30 with the small side effect of menus running in double speed but this doesnt carry over to actual gameplay.

Only thing close to midnight club 4 was the tuners dlc in gta last year
That was a good update for JDM car lovers like me
I wish instead of milking gta they start making games like they used to make during 2000-12

Unpopular opinion, however I feel like Midnight Club 3 was so much better than LA, at least on the PSP
It had the same mechanics as Xbox, the same cars and customisation, and although the Render Distance was fucky at times, it gets the pass since it ran on a console from the mid 2000s

As much as I loved LA, MC3 Dub Edition on PSP and MC3 Dub Edition Remix on Xbox was just perfect

MCLA on PSP was my fav game

The only game I had on PSP. I never even wanted any other game than Midnight Club on that handheld.

This was my second favorite psp game but nothing beats test drive unlimited i could cruse those highways forever.

Also, if you want to be technically, Midtown Madness introduced unordered checkpoint races, since Rockstar San Diego developed that series when they were known as Angel Studios after moving away from 3D stuff in the movie scene.
