JBL| Charge 5 & Partyboost

Great sound, especially when it gets broken in. Great highs and stage. Wish it had deeper feel the music bass though. Also an old school plug into a tv or wall permanently might be tech better than new tech.

I just purchased (2) Charge 5's. I cannot get Party Boost to work by pressing the Party Boost buttons. I've read the instructions carefully and watched this video, but regardless, the 2nd Charge 5 never plays a sound when trying to connect two.

The charge 5 will last only 4 hours on full blast if u plan to use it all day bring a charger for it

I only own 1 charge 5, so I've never tried the partyboost feature. The one complaint I've heard from people is volume synchronization between 2 similar devices. From what I understand, the volume has to be adjusted individually on each device in partyboost. Kind of a bummer, that. It would be nice if the "master device" that others are being chained to could act as the volume control for the other devices. My guess is it's probably a hardware issue as opposed to a software issue. That being said, I have no regrets about purchasing my charge 5. That little bad boy kicks.

My jbl charge 5 audio cracks sometimes..not frequently but. Is it a Defective product?

Hi sir, I have some questions about the partyboost, I had 2 Charge 5 TL&ND and sometime the partyboost is not stable (the main one has sound but other one Either no sound or connection breaks ). and also I tried to use partyboost on my laptop and found out that when the charger 5 connected to laptop the partyboost stop working.

It's a shame jbl disabled backwards connect compatibility with older models. Please allow partyboost models to connect with older models. This is outrageous.

You should allow EQ personalization also when two same speakers are connected in partyboost mode. I have two Charge five and I really can't understand why JBL portable app forbids me to euqalize sound on the two devices when they are playing togheter. By the way I've always been found of JBL speakers, the best on the market! Since I bought my first JBL Go 1 I have really appreciated the quality of sound that you provide.

The Charge 5 now has an equalizer through the JBL app. Now you can turn that bass up even more! The higher bass level is definitely noticeable

is it just me or does clicking on the party mode also changes into eq presets? because when i click it, sometimes i hear more treble or more bass

Can I use Stereo Mode with two different models of JBL speakers that support the same pairing protocol (say the Charge 5 and flip 5), or must they have to be the same model? (I know "Party mode" is compatible with different models; I'm just asking about "Stereo mode")

Series 5 is not really interesting, it does not have a good bass at all, like Series 4, I wish it would be fixed sooner with another update and its sound would be stronger.

My JBL charge 1 still works.
Doesn't stay charged as long as it did. But the sound is still good. When it goes down Ill look for another jbl Charge x series. Charges tablet phone, recharges in the car nicely.
