1989, i was in my car when this song came on my radio. They immediately went to the next song so i thought i missed information about the name of the band. i pulled over into a grocery store and found a pay phone. That station didnt normally play that kind of music, but john pete, the DJay was a rebel and a friend of mine, he often changed the play list. Yea John! i instantly loved this one!! i still do!

2024 and we're more enmeshed than ever in channel z. Seem bent on our own future extinction living in a la la land of instant gratification not heeding the warnings of the future and today or learning a damn thing from history with clever little educated hipsters declaring an age of post truth. Wake up already from our collective nightmare!

I remember when they performed this song on SNL back in 1989. Great performance. This song introduced me to the B-52’s.

WOW! Hadn't heard or even thought of this song in YEARS, a forgotten gem! Just found it and I instantly remembered it as soon as it started playing. Amazing how long forgotten songs can still have an effect on you once you rediscover them.

Great album, I have the CD. "Roam" never got much air time, but I really liked it too.

This album is so fresh. The sound of actual guitar, bass and drums makes it timeless.

2024 and the lyrics to this song is CRAZY how relevant they are and also the metaphors used!! I was 4 years old thinking they was talking about the fuzzy on the TV screen but really they are talking about no change and the forces against equilibrium! I respect this band so much ❤ that's like some hip hop and rap lyrics

How does this song not have at least 5'000000 views??????????

Let us not forget how instrumental Keith Strickland was to this song. My friend played this album for me on cassette and I was like "eh," until I landed on the B-Side and this song. Topaz too. Cosmic Thing is a most fantastic album. Probably one of the greatest.

The lyrics wer true in 89 as they are now. Love this band. I would hold my baby boy in my arms and dance around our tiny little apt. Hes 31 today and loves the 52s 😂 go figure 😂 Cosmic thing album one of my all time favorites.

The B52's were already legendary when this album came out. Afterwards, they were gods. This is their greatest album, in my humblest opinion. I played that CD until it stopped working. One day, it just stopped in the middle of "June Bug" and the screen said "you've played your limit."

Wish they made music like this still 😢
