Being able to buy food and shelter to survive - what a fucking illusion. What kind of bullshit is this channel on?

Perfect, Express yourself, be yourself, and live life the best you can. However, do not step on other's lives. Do as you wish in life, just as long as you do not act out in violence, weather it be physical or mental. Life should be a learning process in progress! Consciousness is an harmonic frequency between the future and the past with no absolute present where nothing is learned nor apprehended, we are not rocks. Life has eyes to see because it already sees the road, even atoms have a pattern to follow. There is a Plank time, but we don’t live there, in my opinion.

Hi. I disagree with Alan's opinion on money. Money can be used to do good works. Jesus' parable of the Good Samaritan has the injured man left with an innkeeper who is PAID to attend him until the Samaritan returns and pays him again if needed. Obviously the Samaritan hadn't given all his spare cash way, he'd put some away for a rainy day, and OTHER PEOPLE'S rainy days as well. Love that lacks the means to express itself is a hollow virtue, and money is part of that means. Cheers, P.R.

How is money illusion. It’s very real. I’ve lost my job and it seems very real to me.

The issue I'm having is that all of Alan's gorgeous philosophy makes incredible sense to me, but it doesn't make sense to the people who love money, and it is those people who run the world and control my life. Debt collectors don't care if I don't believe in the value of money, they do. Student loan companies who've bought my debt don't care if I want to just enjoy the present and not worry about things like future payments, because they do. Every structure in my life believes the exact opposite of these tenets, and while I want to believe them amd live them, I like many others will be homeless and possibly dead if we don't worry about the future, understand how our past drove us to our choices, stress about time, and toil for money. Somebody help me see how to live these beliefs when our system is based on the imaginary constructs therein.

Alan Watts’ book “the book” is really mind blowing and I really really recommend I haven’t read it all the way through but that just goes to show how ahead of his time this man was
