Hmm. Astronaut without a helmet. Not sure what the point of a pressure suit is without it. The entire story could be a hypoxia halucination.

Great mini-movie. But why do these future movies always test new technology with humans and not AI robots? Its like the ALIEN Movies, Brand new world, shall we send out drones and Humonoid AI Robots first to investigate, nope send in the humans.

Am I the only person who thinks that that isn't Ethan at the end? Why else would his skin be a matrix? I might be wrong, but I believe the craft was taken intentionally by the aliens and that he was returned as an approximation of the original, as a spy.

euh, sure 3 mins to get there but the comms to Mars will always take anywhere between 5 and 20 minutes depending on the distance it is from Earth...unless they have invented entangled radio trans it's they won't be able to know if he made until the comms returns to Earth. Besides that nice shorty.

Gotta love that instantaneous communication--across 140 million miles or so.

4 minutes in and I quit... Why would we send a human through this? It's fantasy, but I am a stick in the mud... We would at this point know with all certainty that he'd be fine... Or we just wouldn't do it.

It's like the cops picked up some drunk hick driving his tractor through town, gave him a ride home and said "Okay, we'll let you off with a warning this time, but don't do that again."

Pretty good. I like the first shot of the station and ship. I half expected the final shot to be his broken ship floating in space with him dead inside and the guy they transported being a copy of him that they managed to get just prior to him dying.

How could they know instantly he had arrived after the countdown, when a signal does travel "only" at lightspeed back from Mars?

Anyone remember a Dust short film. Where there are two teenagers are in different space ships. And they only pass each other once a day Or something.

So they decide to meet up. And in the end both jumps at each other. But both gets stuck in space.

It was such a great movie. I can't find it anymore. Help ;-;

(TY Olsson) This facility is sealed...nobody leaves"! Apparently he is from Nova Scotia Canada. I'm from New Brunswick. Interesting beginning...but...sadly...more likely to just end up being eaten by the aliens...or an experiment!! ..which might just be what he is now.😳☹😢

How in hell the communication from the ship at Mars orbit and Earth is instantaneous ?? Light takes 15 mins to travel between these 2 planets.

I dont get why there are sooo many people who don't get the ending. They returned Kane in a form of a holographic or ultrarealistic version of him with his memory and consciousness and everything, but they kept the actual human Kane for themselves to study because clearly it's also their first contact with a human being. They obviously have a way more advanced civilization than us and it's just pointless if they were to just return Kane straight to his house, also furthermore proves their possession of his memory. The FTL is what triggered them of the ship and they somehow managed to "hack" the ship and brought it to their planet.

It's the alien equivalent of throwing a litterbug's trash back in his car, through the window.
We don't want that here! 👽

We hope that the intelligent life forms that exist far away have the same sensibilities and sympathies as humans.

great FX but story is kind of silly. Being forever lost in space with no way home is much more compelling and maybe have a better way to get home besides unlikely extraterrestrial assistence ( back to his own backyard) . it might have been better to have him return to see his great grandchild like in in the movie INTERSTELLAR

The aliens were intriguing, but overall, this was just too damn cheesy.

I do sincerely hope that if we ever accidentally meet a more advanced alien civilization that they at least take pity on us, if they're not outright benevolent.

It's fantasy I get it, love the design and sound effects but you'd think with FTL working that they would at least show him in something of a restraint system or a working IDS; Inertial Dampening System lol. All I can invision is the pilot vaporizing simply sitting in a seat.
