Soo, part 2 coming up? Or perhaps Alan Wake 2 part 1? Or better yet, for the sake of Remedy Connected Universe lore
- Alan Wake I + DLC (emaster (release year: 2021, originally 2010)
- Alan Wake American Nightmare (release year: 2012)
- Quantum Break (release year: 2016)
- Control (release year: 2019)
- Alan Wake 2 (release year: 2023)
- Max Payne Remake (release year: ?)
- ...so you are ready for Control 2 (release year: ?)
So are you going to continue with this game?
ОтветитьIt came out in 2010. As weird as the story may seem right now it does all make sense by the end
ОтветитьPart 2? :D 💖
ОтветитьIdk why but this gives me Heavey Rain kinda beyond 2 souls vibe I like it happy I found your channel this game is great very good writing and if you haven't played Beyond 2 souls I reccomend it
Ответитьcan't wait for this seires to grow
ОтветитьI wonder if alan wake remastered is better than the old alan wake ⏰🤔.
ОтветитьWill you be playing House of Ashes?
ОтветитьCount me in for seeing this come back as a series, I guess I missed this property as I was also a playstation only player back in the day. I'm liking the "unreliable narrator" style, I'm curious to see where they take it. I have no idea what's going on, never played the game, so this is not a spoiler and I'm just wildly speculating, but the diner scene seemed like it was hinting towards Alan being in an institution of some sort, with the two "musicians" who had wandered off and were waiting to be picked up, and the strange person near the back hallway warning you away from the darkness. Like, those people could be the other patients near him? The talking light reminded me of scenes in movies where they try to get coma patients to wake up by telling them to go, or not go, toward the light. Then the last name is Wake, so maybe he's in some kind of coma and the story is going to be about him fighting the darkness, or trying to wake up, something like that?
ОтветитьGreat video! I would definately watch it if it was a series! :)
I have played the original game and this game is definately worth playing!
Ooo I can't wait to play this! Looks awesome and awesome video!!
ОтветитьOh yes
That is all I have to say about this one
Ah, nostalgia, all those references to other games, the Poets of the Fall songs, foreshadowing, yeah...
ОтветитьKeep playing this game
ОтветитьIt doesn't really look that much different from the original release, I think. I still remember it quite vividly. It's pretty cool
ОтветитьThis game will stay with you for a while. It's not too horror like, more like a psychological thriller. It's made by the company that made the excellent "film noir" games Max Payne(Which you should def. also try). It's like watching a movie and the setpieces are great at times. It is a bit stressfull though. I hope you continue to play Alan Wake on this channel! PS: take your time to collect and read the manuscript pages and watch the atmospheric tv-clips, it completes the experience of the game.
ОтветитьJust tap boost with the flashlight to stun and use unboosted beam to whittle away their health so you dont go thru batterys as fast. And watch the tv shows and manuscripts. Great channel.
ОтветитьGreat atmosphere, beautiful setting, interesting story, really tedious combat.
ОтветитьWhile you play this, I recommend checking out Max Payne games, from the same Finnish company. Alan Wake's face is scanned from Finnish actor Ilkka Villi, who also did the movements, but Wake's lines were recorded with an American actor. The game is developed by Finnish gaming company Remedy, known for their story driven action games, who also did Max Payne 1&2, Quantum Break and Control, stories to all of them written by their staff writer, Sam Lake (pen name, name americanised/translated from his real name, Sami Järvi). Max Payne, a game about a hard boiled undercover cop framed for murder, brought the use of Matrix style slow motion as a game mechanic into video games. Also, Max Payne games take inspiration from John Woo's action movies and their acrobatic gun play and slow motion.
Rockstar, developers of Grand Theft Auto, made Max Payne 3, with GTA and Red Dead Redemption writer writing the story. Remedy sold the rights to them, to be able to develop Alan Wake. It brought a lot of controversy among Max Payne fans, as they had radically changed the way Max looks, having shaved his head and using a bright Hawaii t-shirt instead of a dark trench coat, suit or leather jacket. In the context of the game, it made sense, though.
Alan Wake used to be an XBOX360 exclusive, later getting a Windows conversion, but Remedy recently got the distribution rights to themselves, being able to shop it around. Quantum Break for XBOX One is Scifi action, Control (a multi platform title) is Scifi and fantasy action and they all use elements like telekinesis or playing with time as some type of a game mechanic. Control's DLC directly references Alan Wake and the imaginary TV show Night Springs, Wake being one of the individuals the secret agency keeps tabs on. Control also has a Finnish actor playing the Finnish janitor Ahti, who sings Finnish language Tango music while working. The game also has references to Finnish folk mythology and pagan deities.
This game has Resident Evil vibes imo.
"You think you can run Ethan! I mean, Alan! Your death is inevitable! Muahaha"
Nice choice for series! Remastered seems to be quite close to original. And what other people said about pages and tv shows, they are part of the experience, so highly suggested.
ОтветитьBeautiful video:3 i really enjoyed this! Good job:) i can't wait to see your next video:3And i hope you have an fantastic day:3
ОтветитьHey there angel I’m so stoked your playing Alan wake, absolutely loved this game when it first came out on the 360 but never got around to finishing it. So I really hope you stick with it so I can see how it ends, as always much ❤️♥️😍💖💕🥰 to you and your channel beautiful and cool 😎 lady.
ОтветитьThis game looks very familiar to me. I think I might have played it when it first came out. OR there was a movie made on this type of story. OR it might have been a different mystery type of like Mrs. Marple's or the other lady sleuth, Jessica something. I will watch it as you play it, to help me remember if this is what I think it is. If you do not like this type of mystery horror type stories, and stop playing, that is cool tool.
ОтветитьLETTSSSS GOOOOOOOOO, this brings back memories such a great game 👍
ОтветитьSuch a great game. This and LiS have two of my favorite stories in gaming.
ОтветитьHappy to see you playing this game it’s one of my favorites story wise one too though your ammo batteries etc reset between chapters so use all the items you get as there’s no point in stocking up
ОтветитьI am so excited for you to play this game I heard it is great Hope you can do more in Halloween I love to see more soon
ОтветитьIts a good story, I think you would like it.
Ответитьi WAIT FOR METRO but and this is an amazing game ^^
ОтветитьThats gonna be great... even tho... no offense, you won't have a clue whats really going on in the game and where the story exactly goes and it might end with a lot of questionmarks for you. But if you really dig into the story, focus on whats happening and all those characters AND what they are saying, it really gives you on the of the best, if not even the best storytelling in videogames. And if you even dig deeper into all the characters, whats exactly happening, those pages and the lore itself, it's brutally mind blowing what happend in the game.
It's actually one of those games that get better and better the deeper you dig and fall into the Alan Wake rabbithole :D
Also little info for you: You won't be able to get ALL the pages. Some of them can only be collected if you play the game on nightmare difficulty. You also should read the pages the moment you get and even listen to the radio when you have the chance to. Everything in this game is tied together. Literally everything ;)
Theres nothing that doesn't have it's purpose and gives his fair share of the story
I got the remaster as well.
Do finish it. It's less than 10 hours long.
This game came out in 2010 as a Xbox 360 exclusive, and in 2012 for PC. Remedy remastered this game now because they are no longer in a exclusive contract with Microsoft.
It is a great game, not horror, but a Stephen King psychological thriller of sorts.
Found this game Xbox GP a while ago and it was great. I thought the story was interesting and it was presented in a unique way
ОтветитьAlyx & a Stephen King inspired game? interesting combination
ОтветитьOne of the few games that really makes you feel like your lost in the woods at night.
ОтветитьHey Alyx, found you when looking for Batman gameplays and watched the whole saga, finally a new series of my interest to watch
Alan Wake has top tier narrative and story, good characters and atmosphere, as for the gameplay and graphics i would say is very lacking even when it first came out, but if you like Stephen King-like stories you will love this (even tho they change Alan's face in the remaster for some reason)
PS: have you played Dead Space before? one of the best survival horrors ever (the first two at least)
i would like to see you get through them
Happy Halloween Angel 🎃
ОтветитьWould love it if you continued this let's play. Remedy's games are unique experiences with fantastic storytelling. Underrated imo.
ОтветитьWow i own this but I never touched it, but this definitely looks interesting i could see why this had a cult following when I was in highschool. It's all some of my friend girls would talk about, Alan wakes books and Twilight lol. I like how confusing this game seems I'll give it a go
ОтветитьFun Fact: This game and Control take place in the same universe.
ОтветитьBattlefield 2042: We're going to have a scary tornado!
Alan Wake: Hold my anemometer...
The original game looks similar. But when you look at the textures closely, the remaster looks much better. To me, this is a good remaster: it improves the graphics, but doesn't change the original feel of the game that the fans loved so much. In fact, some people complain the remaster doesn't look much different. But it does, if you look at it closely.
ОтветитьScared Mia is back
ОтветитьI remember when I played this game in 2008, still one of the best videogames I ever played
ОтветитьHello, good hunter!!!👋🧐
ОтветитьFor the most part it seems the graphics look as good as they did when it released for the PC, maybe a little better textures, lighting and smoother frame rate… it was originally for the 360 exclusively in 2010 for a long while which annoyed me because I only had my PC and my PS3 at the time as I really didn’t like the XBox. The PC version finally released in 2012 which is when I played it. They have however also improved the facial animations for the movies. Though the character models in game look a little weird to me at times. I can see they’re better, but something is not quite right about some of them.
