Best Audio Interface for Music Producers (NO LATENCY!!)

I’ve seen a lot of professionals using RME, Antelope and Prism. Those UAD Apollo are the expensive version of the focusrite Scarlett lmao

I need one of these... Latency free!?!?! I have to turn Soothe 2 off when I record or its impossible.

Misleading video, zero latency is a myth, I have a RME Fireface UFXII for recording and only use UAD for mixing with their plugins when latency no longer is an issue, but lately I'm using less and less UAD plugins and I'm going to step away from it. Sell it while it is still worth some money, because PC and Mac, especially the M2 chips are getting so powerful that you can finish projects without the help of UAD platforms and most plugins are cheaper and just as good as UAD. Their plugins are overpriced and they will make the switch, because they know their platform will become obsolete. It's just a matter of time before all their plugins become native only.

Nooo! Mine doesn't work and stopped working when Apple introduced their Apple silicon chipsets on their machines... mine has been coughing up blood ever since... no connection, various error messages etc... hangs... the machine works when connected to a 2014 Mac Mini... new Apple silicon? coughs up blood.

My antelope audio discrete 8 pro synergy core interface does the same thing super cool!

How do you get console to run through ableton? There’s “zero latency” on my Solo but then ableton has a whole second of latency 😭

Apogee symphony is the best

Apolo is for pros not for enthusiasts. For less the price I can have more inputs.

Console has so many routing benefits.. it’s literally like having a digital console on your laptop. If you can dream it you can pretty much do it. If you have the In/outs ;) or get wild with the virtual channels

Professional engineers choose RME

It takes the load of uad plug ins only if I remember right.

The Console app is dope, but the Unison tech on the Preamp channels is what really sold me on Apollo. Modeling the analog behavior of the Unison plugins sold me to the point-of routing the Apollo's output through them.

Latency free is not a thing. The audio still has to go through conversion even if you are using the feature that maps an input channel directly to its corresponding integer output channel through firmware rather than driver. Any other routing using UAD console also sends the audio through the driver. This just means it doesn’t incur the additional latency from roundtripping the audio through a client app that subscribes to receive audio from said interface driver such as a DAW

Both the audio samples that come into the driver and get routed to the DAW incur the device’s minimum input latency. When you are monitoring the audio samples from the driver before those samples get routed to DAW you are shaving off the additional output latency that comes from routing audio through a client app and back to the driver for processing

Audient is better….Antelope is better…..many things are better than UAD….

UAD is obsolete now, computer are more powerful & other plugins are better so DSP not needed to get low to no latency. Plus Apogee sounds a million times better

I never have a problem with latency in plugins. With hardware It's too short to notice.

The Apollo is good but at the same time I wouldn’t suggest it due to the only real benefit OVER other brands at this stage being that and just availability to UAD plugins which, if you’re not buying SPECIFICALLY FOR those plugins, you don’t REALLY need otherwise.

A good alternative would be the MOTU Ultralight Mk5, which I’ve been using for a half a year and PREFER to my Apollo Twin.

Apollo is nowhere near quality of symphony desktop.

I got a Behringer, and I'm able to get it down 6 ms of latency. I just move the notes or use some kind of groove template.

Hello. uad adds its own character to audio in all audio interfaces. While this feels good, it's definitely not a good option for music producers. If you try the apollo solo and apollo twin interfaces respectively, you will hear that the ins and outs of the solo are awful compared to the twin. universalaudio accepts this. because dacs are different. As a result, I use Apollo Twin in my vocal recordings. but while listening apogee duet 3.
