We have to be ambassadors of our animals like Robert here. Fishing line, and other synthetic materials are deadly to animals. We are so careless with our stuff, and animals pay for it. I am happy for the wonderful outcome. Well done Robert, and team.

This is bad that swan has a fish hook in its leg and the lines are caught in the flippers. Rob needs to get that swan to Bindi fast if there is a chance of saving it. Entanglements are life threatening they need to act fast or the swan will die.

Amazing job! Such a majestic swan! Damn fish lines, lures etc. We have the same problem here in Hawaii, but its so hard to control, i wish someone will create an invisible line to catch fishes in the future! 🤔 i kno but not impossible w/all the new techy inventions made today! If not, we should all go bak to how our fore fathers fished, yup spear! To ask fisherman to pick up their fish lines is like asking dog onwers to pick up their poop! 🤪

Steve raised his children so well. When he passed, I cried so much. I always loved watching him on TV. One of my dream vacations is go to zoo and see all the hard work he put in pay off.

How could people be so careless in throwing away these fishing lines, hooks? I am sure they are all well aware of the dangers of their careless acts, yet they still do it. It's wonderful to see your team at Zoo and the Irwins of being an angel to these lovely animals. God bless

i remember when i had to catch a swan. gorgeous, giant, and incredibly mean bird. he had been clipped by a car and his entire right wing was destroyed, but this male fought, ran, and flapped what he could, ended up with a few hairline fractures in my hands but wow. this poor black swan seems so defeated, no biting, no calling, hes barely flapping just.. accepting it.

This was amazing. Irwin's are a tough breed!
