GAMING!!! Lol I am quite curious to see how that system would work on a Mac and how it would improve gaming on a Mac…
ОтветитьIt’s cool but expensive.
ОтветитьIt's nice, but it would be nicer if Apple made a small desktop with a few expansion slots. But that's never gonna happen now especially with Apple Silicon.
ОтветитьYes more videos!
ОтветитьFaster than fastest…
ОтветитьGaming and video editing please! Interesting concept to enclose them both in one integrated PC style box! It’d be cool to have a transparent version that you could pimp out with LEDs like the current trend of neon PCs!
ОтветитьVery cool addons. Not a very cool price. The egpu is 600. That doesn’t include a graphics card. Add a GPU (in todays prices) that’s another 400. We are now 1k into our macmini (not including the Mac mini) then we want the Mac mini module.. that’s 500 more.. sonnet. Come on man. We get it, you make stuff for Mac. But the prices don’t have to be more than the computer.
ОтветитьWith the eGPU Models and sonnet duomodo Xmas mini, we could install a Lunar client for Minecraft and the 1,000,000💣s could do nothing to the Mac and the Radeon 6800 with metal! PerKing will be proud
ОтветитьThat price is a joke.
ОтветитьA shame that Black Magic didn't keep updating their systems. Truly an awesome EGPU. if you can find one for a good price they are very awesome with INTEL mini's
ОтветитьYeah, need some gaming benchmarks please.
ОтветитьWho is gonna buy this overpriced thing? You could get M1 MacMini for 600 bucs lol. Or build hackintosh where you can stick all those PCIe cards and more.
I like this concept in whole, but i do not get where are they taking all of those prices.
need more reviews
ОтветитьDefinitely want to see more for video and gaming.
Ответитьfaster than M1 Mini?
ОтветитьAudio production ... what audio production suite uses GPU compute to accelerate computation ?
ОтветитьI feel like it's a disservice to your channel community to fail to mention that the M1 Mac Mini (or any Apple hardware running their own silicon) does not support any eGPUs.
ОтветитьThis is very interesting. I'm waiting to see how useful a future Mini will be. However my focus is audio not video. Will enhanced GPU have any benefit to audio?
ОтветитьGaming !!!!
ОтветитьWould love to see some 3D performance specs - especially comparables with the Mac Pro and Imac.
ОтветитьSomeone needs to hack the m1 macs for egpu
ОтветитьThis is very cool.
ОтветитьI have an M1 Mac mini so no GPU for me. I plan to just build a gaming PC eventually and keep the systems separated.
ОтветитьSo cool, was considering a set up like this…. Until i saw the pricing 😳
ОтветитьIt would help if you explicitly stated that eGPUs don’t work with the M1 Mac mini. Or am I wrong about that. Yes, you did mention older Mac mini in passing, but you really needed a little more transparency here.
ОтветитьCan you use these to add more RAM to the M1 mac mini?
ОтветитьNOTE: he forgot to mention this is only for Intel based (no M1) bases mac mini's. Nice video!
ОтветитьThis looks quite impressive. Can u please make a video where u actually edit some 8k files or do heavy load works, for better understanding of the performance.
ОтветитьGeek bench represents nothing
ОтветитьThey should make a dock module with more thunderbolt 3 and display ports
ОтветитьHi does this work with m1?
Ответитьwhy is this not being specific to the m1 ver. of 2021 not earlier 2020? walkThePlanck voiced same query 3 mos ago.EDIT YOUR DARN INFO MacRumors. Just saying generic word "mac mini" is lame
ОтветитьWill the macmini w egpu run 4 monitors?
ОтветитьThis is badass
ОтветитьNow this is a brilliant idea for a clean setup.
ОтветитьNeed to test with a capture card, that would be a nice stream setup.
ОтветитьSonnet is obviously smoking something, presenting a mount for a MacMini, remote connections (back), and a PCI remote connection. No thanks, I will build my own. Risers run about $30. Add a power supply, and your set. If you want a no-brainer solution, then whip that credit card out and max it out!
Ответитьthis is exactly what i've been looking for
ОтветитьI was hoping you all did those video editing and gaming tests on this video. Now I'll have to go looking for it. :-(
ОтветитьI'm "retiring" my Intel Macs but I've decided to keep a Mac mini for just-in-case Intel stuff, and now with an eGPU you can even put a current-generation AMD Radeon with it … this is suddenly very practical! Despite the eGPU being useless for M1, the fact is Windows for ARM refuses to run Xbox Pass and I have to have Windows for Intel. None of the Intel Macs have modern GPUs anymore, but with an eGPU that doesn't matter! And it's still half the price of a second-hand 2020 iMac with the best Radeon 5700XT, which is still a generation ago and now you're stuck with it. Versus eGPU that you can keep on upgrading.
ОтветитьIncredibile. Have you tested this build with cloud gaming as Assetto corsa or something else?
ОтветитьPC
ОтветитьFont pannal
Switch surfaces bord
Good 💚
ОтветитьHow can I get in contact with? I would like to run a build idea by you and get your opinion when u have tine
ОтветитьPCI express solt
ОтветитьCPU DIGNOST CARD VAG ADYPTER CPU
ОтветитьDetails of SSD speeds would be just as useful as GPU benchmarks. Sonnet have a habit of crippling NVMe performance in some of their Thunderbolt systems. The utterly useless dock with a pathetic 800MB/s for example. If the Xmac Mini duo modo matches the NVMe speed of their McFiver card in an 8x PCIe 3.0 slot/Thunderbolt enclosure, it’s still excessively expensive for what’s effectively a Thunderbolt dock with Mac Mini mounting abilities. If it can’t even manage that, it’s as waste of money.
ОтветитьI have a 2018 Mac mini. With the graphics card you suggested. Do I have to jail break them to get a boot up screen or will my Mac recognize them automatically.
ОтветитьHi! I have a doubt about this video test . What Apple S.O. you choosed for this comparison on Metal Geekbech? Monterrey perhaps? Thanks
Ответить
