Arduino with: SIM800L GPRS GSM Module sending an SMS

Hi, I actually wanted to ask that I'm using sim800l with Arduino uno to send SMS and make call simultaneously one after another but the problem is that after connecting to network call function is working really fine but SMS are not sent somehow,.... I've tried tons of code but SMS are not being sent please help if anyone can ! I would be really thankful

Hi, David. Maybe it is stupid question. It's normal i have short-circuit between VCC, GND and NET in my module?

i'm in the US. I'm assuming you have an activated sim card with a local carrier (t-mobile, Verizon, etc)? How can you check comparability? Is anything free ??? :)

This modem is a true pain in the ass, what an absolute piece of trash. Sometimes detects networks with good signal, sometimes it doesn't detect anything, but it NEVER registers in the network, no matter what sim card I use, no matter what code/at commands I use. I'll try and use it next to windows to see if that's the problem, but I highly doubt it, I'm in the middle of the city.

do this module require specificly a 2G SIM or the new SIM will work (3g or 4g) not in 4g mode, but I meen it will register for a network even if the card is a 4g card, so it will handover to 2g???

Hello David, I have the same module and same connections. Do you know why my GSM is restarting after 10 seconds (aprox)?
Need I to regulate the voltage on TX/RX?
It supposued that module has regulator and works on V5 arduino approach.
I have never able to send SMS.
