How to Fix Windows Defender Not Turning On

hey i followed all the steps but my windows defender still havent turned on when i checked the regestry editor there was no disable anti spyware, what could possibly be the problem ?

In policies microsoft windows I don't have windows defender. Running windows 8

Okay, sometimes I have to disable malware protection via the Malwarebytes icon, but then Windows Defender immediately turns back on if I do that. Is there a way to make sure it doesn't enable itself just because I paused Malwarebytes protection? Thanks.

In mine the is NO windows defender, like, none of them, wtf do i do?

error c:\program files\microsoft\windows defender\mpoav.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. does anybody know how to fix this error?

it wont let me move it to 0 it says some error occured

hello, so basically i had a virus on Windows 11 called Trojan or something like that, and i removed it but after that my Windows Updates arent working and i cant downloand anything from the Microsoft Store, is there any way to fix it without to Factory reset my pc?

i dont have windows defender as a folder so what do i do my virus protection is fully locked off

Idk if you will help but if yes i cant turn on nothing..i dont have any of those local machine settings cant turn nothing on...all i gota say is that i disabled win deff by launchig a program from a game folder that i download ed to play and in order to install i disabled wind deff from a runing program...aftet that i never found Windows defender working or turning on i used everything i saw your videos i reset my pc to and still same pls help my pc is glitching im sure is a virus so pls help

If you are running Windows 10/11 Home Edition, you can easily enable the group policy editor using the following commands:

Open Command Prompt in administrative mode and run the following commands:

FOR %F IN ("%SystemRoot%\servicing\Packages\Microsoft-Windows-GroupPolicy-ClientExtensions-Package~*.mum") DO (DISM /Online /NoRestart /Add-Package:"%F")
These commands will install gpedit.msc console on your computer. After the commands are successfully executed, go to Run –> gpedit.msc. This will open the group policy editor in your Windows Home edition.
