thanks for the help brotha! quick question if you dont mind. Im using logic to time my vocals and trying out Flex Time - Monophonic with Quantize to put them on time. they seem to be all on time and still sound natural. Is this a good practice or should I still to manually timing vocals?

Even though I've come a long way in my learning, this video has provided some enlightenment on what I'm not doing. I'm not adding enough compression on my vocals to get that full-on commerical sound. I'll keep referencing his video.

NEVER EVER EVER EVER eq In solo. Made that mistake for years starting out. It gives you no reference to your overall mix. No one listens to the vocals solo'd. It's called a mix cause it has to all work together. Once you learn to eq in the mix your skills get much sharper.....

This is a unique approach to getting a clean sounding track fast. Ive never seen anyone route a vocal stack to a send and process the group as one unit like this. I also liked the sidechain EQ on the 2-track... Money, I dont know why I never thought of that! Great video! As someone who records with less than adequate hardware and in a less than Ideal space I can definitely make use of these tips. Keep grinding and Stay Blessed!
