Can't wait to watch Star Trek TNG in HD SY FY :D

Hmm...If this is in HD and widescreen then why did I see black bars down either side on my HD TV? Both parts of the first episode were in the old ratio, and yes, I am on the Sky+ HD package.

Then how come they could manage to make TOS into widescreen and still make it look so good? Are you saying that the production values on TNG were lower than on TOS? Or that in the 60's Gene Roddenberry had a premonition about TOS and widescreen and kept the set a bit tidier...just incase. This is to sell us the same thing but in widescreen later down the time line due to an amazing piece of tech that will magically solve all the problems. I think I'll wait.
