i think it’s important and highly necessary to consider that despite maybe not being as scary to modern day viewers, this was in 1896, the first ever horror shown to man and woman. 🖤

I know its not scary for us today, but its not bad or cringe, because its amazing that thats a movie from 1896!! From the 19th century! I also don’t even think it was made as a horror movie, rather for a movie with unnatural things and maybe made to be a little bit scary, but isn‘t it amazing that we can watch a movie people made in the 19th century? Not only as historical material, also to watch it?

For those who are comming here in the future I watched this on 2022- oct-22 just wanted to tell you we had the same intrest to search the first horror movie and to enjoy it .

Think about this for a second all the actors that were in this film were born in the 1860s so just think the Civil War was going on here whenever they were born that’s crazy whenever you really stop and think about it and their Grandparents would’ve been born in the late 1700s.

It is still so much horror to me since none of them alive by now 😀 we are watching a real ghost 👻 story

I was invited to the premiere of this film when it came out. I got autographs from some of the actors and the director also. It was a grand party. We all got high and merry... This film was a major box office success back then and money was flowing like water. Good times!

Earlier I was watching "Hugo" (I recommend this movie pls do watch :)

Even if this was made 1800s it still has better quality than modern day security cameras

This was probably amazing to people when it was first seen. You were actually seeing real magic play out on the screen! You have no idea what editing and splicing film is about. So to you, there are actually people and things appearing and disappearing on the screen!
