As a recovered schizophrenic, I respectively disagree. It is a spiritual battle and/or a shamanic journey involving external entities some of which are malevolent and adversarial - you can call them demons, archons, jinn, mind parasites, etcetera. A correct religious approach can be a tool towards healing, but the incorrect religious approach or misapplied doctrinal interpretation can do more damage than good. There is no chemical imbalance or biological cause for schizophrenia and the prescribed pharmaceuticals only tranquilize…they do not address the underlying symptoms. A properly performed exorcism only works temporarily…the intrusive voices and thoughts will return. Schizophrenia is treatable, curable and not a life sentence but it does take internal work to address one’s soul and to regain one’s proper persona. Search for videos with Jerry Marzinsky…he’s a retired psychiatrist with many stories to tell.

It's a thought/recognition process in which the individual reaches to a conclusion based on a lack of evidence.
Many scientists and inventors have had schizophrenia because they were very skillful at understanding the unseen world (magnetic fields, energy, and etc)
Religious delusions comes from interacting with djinns, after an alteration of their mind, and requires psychological attention.

Words are spells you can create a very negative or positive reality for yourself and others just through the words you say.
There’s a difference between possession/perfectly possessed and being entity afflicted.

Lmao I’m a Chosen Prophet of God. They put me in a Mental Hospital for 9 days and diagnosed me with Bipolar Schizophrenia. Lol 😂 Man and Satan is funny.

My recent ex showed many signs of bpd, npd and along with this. She claims before we got together she just woke up one day hearing gods voice and knowing the plan of god, claims she has prohetic insite and talks directly to god. But oddly enough she has adhd diagnosed along with m.s. non medicated on that. I felt like I was with 4 different people over the years in one person and anytime she said things, horribke deliberate things or blew up fastly over something that wasnt to fight about it led to much ignoring, blame, shame and discards then later clsimed its me demonic, or demons or something taking over or i made her do or feel these things and for many years ive been confuzed off and on all the time. She broke up with me for good finally randomly out of nowhere days after expressing all her devotion to me and im still shocked and not sure whats going on with her

Exorcists (reputable ones) state how rare possession is and always have a ton of paper work and two full assessments to rule out medical and mental ailments.

Exorcisms are real, and very debilitating to the person, but it’s soooo rare to be possessed. Impressed…maybe, but if it’s not resolving with Prayer (deliverance) and a few other steps, it’s personal.

Fr. Ripperger is a wonderful resource for this. I was being oppressed at one point (bad thing after bad thing, physical body pain, my animals getting sick and horrible dreams ). I did a good hour of solid deliverance prayers and protection. I’m fine now. It all stopped. If it didn’t, I’d chock it down to bad luck. 🤍

If you pray regularly (if you think you are being oppressed) visit a Catholic Church since they deal most heavily with possessions and have very distinct steps. Usually you just have to cut out some bad habits and pray the rosary - do some other prayers regularly and it goes away.

They will look the other way the minute you have a diagnosis. For something like OCD - there are no days on and off for it. If it’s on and off and you’ve been misdiagnosed they’ll check. Not sure if this helps.

She has a firm diagnosis, so stop telling her to get exorcised. Even exorcists will tell you to knock it off.

My friend became convinced that I was possessed due to my odd behavior and she came over one day and had me sit down while she stood over me and started doing these weird gestures. I asked her what she was doing and she said she was cleansing me and to trust her cuz she knew some secrets due to being part Native American. I asked her why I needed cleansed and she said I was being possessed by a demon named Odur (she pronounded it kind of like "Oh der". She also claimed I was the one that told them what his name was which really confused me because I had no idea what she was talking about. I started laughing because of the name and the absurdity of the situation. I mean, I was the one hearing voices yet anyone walking in there would see her as the crazy one. 😂. She got mad at me for not taking it seriously and stomped out of my apartment. A few days later, I went to text another friend of mine that lived with her and something caught my eye in one of my previous texts to her. It said Odur in it so I read the text and discovered it was just a major typo as I had been in a hurry. She hasn't talked to me since and she probably believes I'm still possessed. 🤣

Hard to say if religion has really helped with my mental illness. In dire need I began the leap of faith at the age of 17, reading a variety of books, Christian, Zen, New Age, occult, and others. For a long time they seemed to help prompt me along. Then when I was 28 I had the psychotic episode and was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Some people call it psychotic with religious features. I slowly began deconstructing over the next three years and have been doing the same since. I now consider myself an agnostic, existential Christian which doesn't always make a lot of people happy, but at least I know what I beleive in is true, for real. Like science.

Well riddle me this why can my demon answer questions and reveal secrets and respond with coherent sentences,,,mental disease can’t do what I have seen and heard

I actually have religious delusions. Luckily, they always follow Christian (LDS specifically) beliefs that my neopagan belief system instantly contradicts. Still, being told I threw away my chance to get into heaven by drinking coffee is jarring.

Religion can either be good for you or it can completely ruin you.

If you are subjected to a cult in your youth it may damage you internally. If you have been programmed or cultivated/trained to practice rituals it may take years to move on.

The abusive side is being subjected to super sadistic individuals who plant triggers in your mind.

Even if you are resistant and fight it you may end up an ideal candidate for psychiatric treatment.

I can make up all kinds of stories ...but thats all they will be...just stories. Complete fantasies and a distortion of reality. Why give into that when you have the power to think for yourself?

Exorcists in the Catholic Church make sure that mental illness, drugs, and other natural factors are ruled out before considering the rites of exorcism. This is a good thing. Although if someone starts floating off the floor perhaps this ruling out step could be prudently skipped.

I'd say Religion is a coping mechanism and the reason it helps is because it makes the person happy, and more comfortable with themselves, that's why it works with most or some people.

I had schizophrenia, took meds, delusional, voices in jead, u name it worst kind. I didnt go out my house for months.afraid, fearful. Thinking somebody was after me. Believe me if u wud compare me to you, ur schizophrenia wud be like babys play. Then i started to realise these voices arent mine and i didnt fear before and i started to pray and then read bible. After a while when i used to hear voice i wud goto the LORD, HE said its a lie. And ling story short i am totally free, no voices, compassion, kindness for ppl. Dont need meds now, walking in freedom. Idk about you but mine was demonic.i got cured by reading the word and prayer. Once i realised life isnt about me,its about serving loving having fun. And loving the LORD.coz all depression starts with me ,i,i,i. forget compassion, love. when its about you, u fall into deeper hole then you realise. I have seen healing of mental illness of lot of ppl. ❤im my own testimony.

Science wouldn't agree that schizophrenia is a result of spiritual / demonic oppression because to do that would insinuate that God is real. Science is the study of things that already exist. They don't create anything new, only observing and trying to figure out what we have access to. They ignore the spiritual truth. They also are unable to cure anything, including mental illness - schizo.. There's your answer. They're wrong.

I respect your choice in aligning with a scientific explanation, but what if matter and spirit aren't seperate and are expressions of one another? I worked with indigenous shamans in the Amazon, and mental disorders were seen as having spiritual roots. A medicine person could quite literally see in the spirit and diagnose the issue. However, there is always a physical aspect, where u need to bring balance back to the biological functions. Western paradigm has all but eliminated that balanced view of spirit and matter, energy and biology, but we are only doing ourselves a disservice but not seeing the whole picture. Just because science proves something, it doesn't mean we have the whole picture, but clarity on one slice of the puzzle.

yep I hear you guys. I don't have this kind of issue so forgive me if I offend anyone with my suggestion, it's my biased subjective thoughts and opinions. I am like a lot of people curious about some of the mental illnesses and things like lunatism because if you thing of it it is very mysterious, hearing voices, seeing and feeling things, or with lunatism, walking with your eyes open, do things, stare at people yet staying unconscious. so ofc I went on searching something if it has to do with something supernatural or if maybe some cases could be connected to this sort of thing. and I trust that person with this kind of problem tried everything in the book to get rid of such illness, cause I do have some chronical health issues as well I tried a lot and read a lot and at some point its getting exhausting. and people live with this for years and pretty sure they have tried it all. so I do not doubt you guys did everything. so It's already taking too long but may I suggest you guys listen to a very interesting man in my opinion Jerry Marzinsky (for eg with carmen smith or with channel understanding conspiracies (i know i know but still) ). he gave quite a few interviews and he claims to be a psychiatrist who dealt with a lot of cases of schizophrenia through his lifetime and he came to some conclusions. I would like to hear your opinion on the guy. if you guys agree disagree, if its similar to what he is describing or is it actually all wrong. he suggests somr curious things, like if it is a chemical imbalance then how the doctor determines how much of a dose to prescribe and which meds better to prescribe since no one actually measures or do analysis for the individual patient to know how much of imbalance of chemical he has or if he even has the imbalance at all, but still prescribe all those sort of things which may cause different unpleasant symptoms. I mean I may have it all wrong, so if you dont mind rather listen to the guy and tell me your thoughts. again I dont have any in depth knowledge about the issue so dont get angry with me lol thats why im curious to have opinion of real people. trust me Im not suggesting anything and I know that you probably faced all kinds of assumptions about this thing, but I also find the things he says curious thats it, it may be like that it maybe completely false it maybe the deal with part of the cases.

Don´t talk about something you can´t understand if you haven´t accepted The Lord Jesus Christ and Truth in your life. I´m misdiagnosed for years as bi-polar. Then depressed. Then schitzoaffective. These are just modern day diagnoses. Names for something doctors or psychiatrists in this case can´t understand, their lack of faith is prevalent in their oath to a false idol, when taking the Hippocratic Oath. Think where the word "hypocrite" comes from?`

I´m not my diagnosis and I fight daily for the demonic voice not taking over, as it´s a powerful one. But I already know it´s lost and so does it. Prayer and the name of the Lord Jesus Christ defeated these demonic forces long time ago.

Can you get a brain scan to detect schizophrenia???

I am Muslim, I was regular in my prayers for at least since I was born, when I got to New York I started smoking weed (I wasn't sick at that point) sometime I wanted to end my life because the research of Cannabis is documented but not well researched... So basically I don't remember being jumpy when I was drinking alcohol, and I do remember they were some time when I was drinking wine, and smoking joints when I wasn't affected by too negative many thoughts, now the question I want to ask my religious doctor ( I am Muslim again, and demons do exist in our religion, however it is not really clear to me how they appear, interact with someone etc...) also there's the human side, why is my leg moving, or my hand, or my head is it because of the disease, demons, or because of something else. Basically I do think that someone needs to be able (document) all those things, and it will be like an Element of Styles book. Are there any books you would recommend, I am currently reading Chatter, but I haven't finished.
