Here’s a tip that might save a nighttime ghost house stage:
If you put the “glory” sound on Mario then every time he crouches, the stage will light up

tip for night theme in ghost house (Traditional level) To sitck with the ghostly theme use stretches or boos on tracks in the ground blocks to provide some spooky lights. and indicate platforms.

I like the nighttime ghost and water theme. I made some fun lvls with it like sunken airship
Basically, it looks like an airship with bullet bills and cannons but fell to the bottom of the ocean

The ghost house night time theme is very fitting sense it is a ghost house

But the underwater one is not good

"if you put a clown car in an airship night time i will boo your level" aha! i didnt publish my level!

my excuse for a clown car in nighttime airship is that im gonna make it decoration or a subarea for patient players

I prefer night ghost house more than night water because, well… you know. WATER LEVELS SUCK.

I have a unique idea for noght ghost house being “horror survival” where you have something to hold as light and need to kick it to detect threats, but probably not a full level gimmick maybe like a storage room area in a level

water levels are the best types of leves but in mario maker most of the time it sucks.

I am actually pretty fond of the underground night theme

Ngl, the underwater and ghost house night themes CAN have their uses, like in a horror level.

actuallly, nightime underwater theme seems slightly better than the trash ghost house theme, but i think that the nighttime underwater theme could be really useful for levels that take place very far underwater.

I think that the reason why ghost House and underwater have the same nighttime gimmicks is because underwater is so different than all the other themes that it would be unfair to have a unique nighttime gimmick for only underwater so they decided to add it to ghost house too. (which I’m very happy about because underwater in my opinion is horrible with the darkness effect but ghost house is sooooo good.)

Honestly i think what could be cool is the daytime ver being mountain and volcano be the night theme

On behalf of nighttime underwater. I made what i think is a really cool level where at one point you go inside a "submarine" and you have firepower to not only illuminate your path and defeat enemies. But other than that yeah probably don't

Watching this again just reminds me of how bad the night themes are for a lot of technical stuff, except for night water and ghost house, though ghost house is superior in usefulness cause water mechanics all suck fir technical stuff.

I personally stick to day themes so I have access to everything in their most default forms.

I do reject the night ghost house theme for 1 level, Spooky Doo house by buflen. Level ID in the replies in about 1 hour from this post, check out buflen’s world it’s really good

Or it can be used to make a sub level to easily hide secrets

You can use night ghot house that start dark then you get a star with sounde effect to se te boss trapet

I would honestly use the SMB version of the nighttime forest theme if I were to make All Star in a music level. I’m pretty sure you can guess as to why.
