Trijicon MRO vs Aimpoint PRO: Which Is The Better Red Dot?

I went with the Pro. My other red dot is a CompML3.

I’ve been shooting the pro for well over 10yrs on my m4. Recently wanted to upgrade to the MRO after all the years of hype. I was able to shoot and older version and the newest green dot version. The pro is a much better optic in my eyes. The slight magnification and the glare on powere settings of the Mro are a huge deal breaker for me.
Way to much paid hype around this optic. It’s just as bad as the Romeo. Save your money.

I just purchased an MRO to go with my Smith and Wesson M&P FPC. I save the bigger, clunky optics for the larger firearms. But the biggest thing for me is that it's made in America. I know it's almost impossible these days but I'm trying my best to avoid purchasing Chinese made shit. Every time you buy something made in China you're funding your own demise.

So the use of a blacked out front cover is to stop any reflection at all. Shooting with both eyes open does not require to flip the front cover open. Front cover not being open stops all glare or reflection of the glass.

Green dot mro drains battery faster than red dot

"I don't want something from China" Probably the same guys that ride Harley's and think there American made ;) Gl finding a scope that is 100% American made. Either your getting a hardware ie tube,dials etc. made in America with imported glass, or your getting American made glass with Imported hardware. "Domestically sourced components" just means the brand your buying from bought the parts in America from an American company... Were do you thing there sources get the parts that they are buying in the first place? :)

My hands are really tied. I want to go with the MRO because I trust trijicon and made in the USA. On the other hand the PRO just looks cooler to me. Truly a conondrum.

Hey mike good stuff. I took the spacer off my pro to mount it on my AK with the AK master mount. Pretty heavy package , but man is the rig bomb proof. Just set up another AR and was looking at the MRO, but am still leaning towards an aim point T2

Aimpoint says the reason they di the black front cap is because if you're shooting nwith both eyes open you'll still superimpose the dot on what you're seeing. So it doesn't matter if it's up or not, as long as it on.

I gutted a Bushmaster xm 15 and built a 14.5 service rifle..I wanted the same look and feel of the ride I had used and loved right down to chopping the rear sight off the grab handel..minus the KA rails I ended up with Midwest drop ins ( I sence did find the KA ) plus the KA fore grip, was going to rattle can it but I haven't got the balls...I did go with the MRO patrol red /green co witness mount and lens covers for a little over 900 bucks..I have a Spikes lower with mid west enhanced anbi lower kit and 3.5 trigger , im doing a spin of MK18 upper and going with an Aimpoint pro...

getting a red dot with a bigger window is not for a bigger field of view its for a bigger eye box.

I have a few zpap m70s a couple arsenal sam 7r . I’m running a holosun 510 c on the zpap . I’m wanted to put either eotech 512 or Mro . Shtf scenario what do you recommend . Is the eotech as reliable and durable

Holographic sights have parallax shift, just set your eotech down on a table in your living room or kitchen and look through it and move your head around.
It obviously has parallax, the donut moves everywhere, just tested it with my exps3

Have you had issues with the aimpoint pro red dot not being visible except for at the highest two settings? Even with a new battery…

I miss both of these but I can’t complain. I have replaced them with the Razor gen iii 1-10 and a pst gen ii 1-6. I really want the Razor 1-6 and I don’t care if it’s the first version.

I did soooo much research before making a purchase. basically for me it boiled down to looks lol the aimpoint pro just looks cool to me. I don’t really care about weight. And i love trijicon because of the acog in the military. But between these two the winning factor was looks haha I never hear anyone say that the pro looks badass. Is it just me?? 😆
