Physical vs. Digital Games - Scott The Woz

My only issue with Digital Games is that we need Internet Service to play them.

I prefer digital for handhelds, & physical for home consoles. On handhelds, the benefits of digital increase from saving you the 20 seconds it takes to put a disc in to LITERALLY BEING ABLE TO BRING YOUR ENTIRE LIBRARY ON THE GO

I like to have a mix of the two, and it kind of depends on the situation for whether I want to get a certain game physically, or digitally.

I like physical games better because I can do anything with them

Physical games today merely hold "start up", and that's it. Most of the game, even for physical copies, are all in the download. It's a lot easier to have digital but I still like collecting. Being that 99 percent of physical games are downloaded why do we still need the disk for start up? Allow us to buy physical and give us the option to need the disk at start up.

Uh no, you ARE wrong if you like digital and in fact you're less than human.

Unlike most gamers, I'm not a collector, I only buy games that I'm going to play, so I don't buy games to expand my collection. I don't care about resell or trading physical games because I never do that at all with Digital is nice and convenient.

Sure some people are against Digital Games since they require you to have storage space on your Console, but Physical Games also require you to have space on your room. But it doesn't really matter if you prefer Digital or Physical Games, both have their Pros and Cons, as long as you play the game, everything matters.

There is no shame if you prefer both or one or the other it's your money you decide what to do with it, personally I don't care much about Digital or Physical. Regardless of where you prefer Physical or Digital Games, you should always buy the games you want to play so that you are saving space and money.

Digital games are way easier to pirate

I used to be on the physical side and still want to be but the presence of gamesharing makes it so that it's hard for me to buy physical. I share my games with someone and that way we each spend half the normal cost and can both play at the same time. We do this every year with Call of Duty and other popular online titles.

If a game has a digital licence it should say how long it goes for.

I wish every game still got a physical release. Think of all the games that are lost to time now that online shops have closed.

I only buy disc these days really unless the game is digital only as disc is always better imo as it has much more benefits than digital like being able to share my games with friends, having a copy that's mine forever, looks cool opening my game box, no need for internet (except for patches and dlc) and I believe it does help the games run better most times

I guess the only reason to get physical games is if they're digital version never goes on sale and the physical is cheaper in a store.

Physical/Digital Titles have their advantages and disadvantages.

I mostly prefer Digital Titles nowadays.

I've always preferred physical because when I download a digital game my internet is so poor it won't be done until the next day

i have a 4 tb external hard drive, i ran out of space. i intend on getting a 8 tb hard drive for my ps4

Keep in mind, while the digital game installed faster than your trip to the store, at least you got to enjoy the journey of physically purchasing the game. Something special about that compared to using the shitter while a game loads.

Now, see, I am a Switch digital gamer cheapskate who waits until I can get a $60 game for $6 instead of paying the big bucks! THAT'S how you do it! I also don't have the space for physical games, I hate having to change carts (I know, but come on), I have a 400 GB SD card and archive/delete the games as I beat them, AND I do my best to make sure I really, really want the game before buying, so no buyer's remorse (and on the very off chance there is any, I barely spent anything, so it's okay)! lol!

BUT my bro prefers physical games, too, Scott, so I get it! This vid admittedly feels a BIT outdated, at least looking at ONLY paid-sub services like PS Now vs free Switch eShop and saying digital is always more than physical when that's NOT the case, at least anymore, but I'll let it slide 'cause you're you! lol. Personally, physical games are best on consoles and digital games are best on pc.

Practily all of my games are digital beacause Xbox Live gold in the 360, also here im Brasil digital games games are cheper beacause the governament sees absurds amount of taxe in Every single piece of paper, here used games costs more than digital ones.

Unless you specifically have plans to resell games, digital is much better and is definitely the way to go

Not every game is released physically, who cares if you can't trade your games in, games are meant to be played, not stored on a shelf collecting dust.

My only arguement with this video is playstation requires ps plus to have any online access anyways

So to get the ps plus and have instantly 3 free games and a huge catalogue to choose from is worth it imo but lately yeah

Dont get me started on the 3 accs ive lost with hundreds of games on each that just lost me thousands of dollars

I am used to buying games physically, but digital has some advantages. Some games are digital only after all. And some small games or indie games are nice to have in digital format. It's also pretty nice when a game I want is on sale in the online store.
