The BEST beginner Cyber Security Certification | Review

Man, I've been taking google cyber security course, and it's hard, but I keep having burnouts. I need to do better. I have the urge of wanting to learn and be in cyber security, but real worldy problems have been tough to get through. Need to keep going and pushing myself.

Does the course give you practical knowledge?

So google cyber certificate is enough for entry level if my goal is to go in cyber security field and i can leave comptia network+.

Hi i am a third semester student doing bachelors in cyber security. i am planning to do this certificate but my teacher recommended me to do the google IT support certificate first because he thinks the cyber security certificate will be too advanced for me to start. what do you reccommed should i start the cyber security certificate as a beginner or should i do the IT support certificate first.

Quick question. I have found a 12 weeks programme where you get comptia A+ comptia network + and comptia sec + after this you get gauranteed job which is IT technician for 6-12, then with that experience apply for cyber? Note: ive done my google cyber security

This is a great video, as I am looking at potentially doing this cert. Have been studying for the security+ so far, but Google cert has good practical elements to it.

The most important question…WHY would Google all of a sudden start a course like this?

@UnixGuy - do you still recommend Security+ after taking this Google CyberSec cert? If not, will head straight into eJPT or TryHackMe's Security Engineer class. Been in IT for almost 15 years and changing specialties.

Does the cert expire?

I’m currently doing the Google Cert and just finished module 1 in a day and a half. I passed my first graded exam with a 100% . What I fear is that I only passed because the information was brand new to me and just taught to me. I’m afraid that I won’t retain what I’ve read. I’ve taken a lot of notes over 2,000 words just in module one in obsidian. I’ve never been great at studying so I was wondering if maybe I should take the exam a day or 2 after reviewing the material that way I can study the notes for a day or 2 and possibly retain it better? Or should I just keep going at the rate I’m going at? I made some flash cards with the terminology and definitions but I’m afraid that I’m not retaining what I’m being taught.. I feel as if I don’t know how to study the subject/notes properly.. what works for you? Please help.

I did this course recently and thought it was actually pretty decent. The labs, if you chose to do them, are quite useful for a beginner. They definitely give you enough of a foundation to teach yourself actual skills.
