For those in Current Year AD who may be wondering: Baldur's Gate 3 is working from the ending in which Baldur's Gate is protected, Elturel is saved, but Zariel is unredeemed.
ОтветитьWhy can they make movies like this instead the corny crap they have given us !
ОтветитьWow thank you for this man, exactly what I needed after finishing BG2 and now starting BG3 :) Very good lore and narration!
ОтветитьLove the series glhf
ОтветитьJander Sunstar died in Barovia. I don't care what later publications say.
ОтветитьLoved the whole video. Thx
Ответитьthis was epic!! never finished this campaign on our table and this narration gave closure to my adventure. started on part 4. great job!
ОтветитьI love these stories but I find this so damn hard to follow.
ОтветитьThe planatar was "improvised" in the companion? Or was it imprisoned?
ОтветитьA good continuation of A Paladin in Hell.
Thank you for your narration.
I liked that you went with the True Ending.
This is such brilliant work. I’m dm’ing DiA for a group at the moment, just about to deal with Thavius and the Shield. A lovely little refresher on things as written. Thank you. You’ve also showcased some incredible artwork! Where did you find it? Particularly the stained glass depiction of Zariel’s fall and the battle upon Lulu
ОтветитьSo, after all Zariel did, she got off light and thats it?
ОтветитьSo good, watching this to fill in BG3 backstory. Very cool
ОтветитьExcellent video, man. Enthralled in the way you told the story.
ОтветитьDoes BG3 not follow this canon? Zariel is not redeemed yet in bg3, she remains an arch demon. It would be cool to get this but an overview of the infernal tides comics that covers the same events slightly differently, which it looks like bg3 is using as lore.
Ответитьwas cool watching this before getting to baldur's gate in bg3
ОтветитьPoor old Ravenguard really can't catch a break.
ОтветитьThanks for this!
ОтветитьIs this bg3 spoilers?
ОтветитьGiven how this was basically a BG3 prequel pretty good idea.
ОтветитьThank you for doing this.
I bought the book/module based on your mention in one of the lore video's Glanced through it and realized I'm never going to stop long enough to digest it. This was great. So why am I watching this vid the first weekend after full release you wonder? Well I dove in and realized that once my character's get to the city my 2080MaxQ wasn't going to cut it so I have a new 4090 system on it's way in a few days and I'm kicking myself for going as far as I have already before it gets here.
Anyway thank you again This and your lore series really make a great package for enhancing the game experience. Now that they've updated the books in the game these really help!
God bless you Wolf. God bless you!
ОтветитьListening this to prep myself for Baldur's Gate 3. Only 1 1/2 hrs away. Woohoo! Thanks for the video. I can only imagine how much work was put into this. I hope we'll be heading to Avernus and get to face Zariel!
ОтветитьThank you for this enthralling narration of the module! I feel ready to face the decisions of BG3.
ОтветитьGreat narration - thanks!
ОтветитьThank you so much for making this video. Watched it all while waiting for BG3 release tomorrow.
ОтветитьAwe man I’m looking forward to this one! I’m strapping in! … this one is going to take a bit longer than the last few xD
ОтветитьJust re-watched this before BG3 finally drops this week. Watching this gets me even more hyped up and invested for BG3. Thanks Wolf!
Ответитьnot sure if wolfheart is doing this or if it's him just saying it as written by silly wotc, but it should be Duchess Vanthampur, not Duke, Vanthampur is a female, and the female version of Duke is Duchess
ОтветитьThe nuance of the blood war is a bit more... complicated. The devils think they are saving the cosmos from the demons, and it is the mortals of the cosmos that should be honored to aid in the war, they are bound by laws and contracts almost directly because of ASmodeus and HIS contract with Primus before that led to his fall from a celestial to the Duke of all Hells, it was his idea to use the hells for punishment for the wicked, mostly because he needed soldiers to fight the war he was tasked with. He cannot directly take a soul, but a soul can be deserving of the hells... or be freely given to it by it's owner. There is also some retconned lore about asmodeus being a puppet body for the primordial enitity of Ahriman, one of two serpents that created all of the dnd multiverses. There is so much to ASmodeus, the hells, how he fell, what happened with his original host that fought the demons as a celestial, the fact that they originally were not fighting demons at all, but the demons were made from mortal souls to aid in that side of the conflict by the obyrinth and their Queen of Chaos. The original demon prince being Mishka the Wolf Spider, whom was sealed away with the rod of law, after him another take the title before that demon was slaughtered by the Demogorgon.... I like the lore in dnd...
ОтветитьLove your content!
ОтветитьYou should add subtitles to this. Auto subtitles are often wrong especially with fictional character names and places
ОтветитьI listened to this before sleep and maybe 15 minutes in my wife started asking me questions about the story... didn't even realise she was listening to it, too :D I am trying to get her to play the games, so far it sounds like she may give BG:EE a go!
Thanks so much for this, I really enjoyed it. I would love more of these. I know they take an immense amount of time to prepare and execute, so take your time if you do plan on making more :)
Really appreciate the story coverage to give the background of what's happening in BG3.
I think knowing what happened in BG1, 2, and the campaign story right before the game really help with learning who the players are in the story, and what had been happening.
I was also interesting to see Arkhan was part of the campaign.
fun lore fact: the blood war is a lie. it could be won in less than a year but Asmodeus the lore of hell intentionally keeps it going so the devils are pre occupied by the war. and it makes it so Asmodeus can do his own thing in the backround without other devils trying to look in or attempt to take his thrown. also the Asmodeus that you see is also a lie lol. its nothing but an illusion. the real him is at the very very bottom of the 9 hells where no one goes. and hes a giant snake god that eats the souls of those that cursed the gods, cursed by gods or didn't believe in any. and he waits there until he is fully healed. he keeps the war going until the time is ready when he is at full power again. the souls he eats help to slowly heal his wounds from when he fell from the heavens and crashed thru the 9 hells all the way to the bottom. it broke him. but one day he will return.
Ответитьstill amazed that Arkhan the Cruel became cannon its amazing... also this Narrated Story is perfect for those oif us that never played bg 1 and or 2
ОтветитьZariel being fully redeemed so quickly was a bit hokey, but not bad overall. Sounds like a fun campaign. Thanks for putting this together, I'm no DnD lore expert so this should help greatly with understanding the events and setting going into BG3.
ОтветитьGreat story, and we'll put together. Put a donate place on it and you got one from me.
ОтветитьThis is great. I really enjoyed this.
ОтветитьSo I'm guessing the dark urge is an escaped demon that drank from the river styx?
ОтветитьNice hour long read looking forward to this❤
ОтветитьThanks for the work you put into this.
ОтветитьLoved this! Came over from your lore video that dropped today.
ОтветитьIt’s been 2 years since this came out! I think I’ve listened to it so many times. I love painting minis while listening. So cool. I know it’s a huge task but I’d love to hear more modules narrated like this. Thanks!
ОтветитьJust watched this now since we are close to launch. Great video idea, loved it!
ОтветитьThis One is a must watch so close to release. ❤ thx wolf!
Ответить2 years late to the party but better late than never, right? Fantastic job Wolf, great video!
ОтветитьHope it was an amazing campaign. It sounded like it😊
ОтветитьGreat stuff. You should link this in your new posts now that the BG3 release date has been formally announced.
Ответитьfantastic work. i feel ready for BG3 lore now
