New York LLC Publication Requirement - Save Money

Question: For a business that does not perform the publish newspaper requirement within 120 days. Would the penalty be they are unable to file lawsuits in NY using their LLC and are open to cases that will not be able to be protected by the LLC since they are in "Not good standing" with NY? Also, if the business were to get a newspaper requirement ad published and the NY cert of publication approved, would their bad standing with NY go away, and access to file lawsuits in NY be allowed?

Can the LLC charge for services before or during the 6 weeks?

I just paid for publication and it only came to $90. Highly suggest getting a registered agent if you aren't in a cheap county already. I used Northwest so my business address can be in Albany. Then I used the newspaper company Times Union to setup publication. You can type in Times union legal notices on the internet and setup the ad yourself online. It's very quick and easy to do. This whole publication thing is stupid but hopefully this helps someone
