Before you get all excited and run out for a 6ghz capable router, realize one Important thing. The 6ghz range is bad. Really bad and the legal transmit power limits are lower for 6ghz. I didn't believe this of course, so I got big expensive router and I ended up disabling the 6ghz channel because it barely transmits to the other side of my apartment. You are better off picking an unused 5ghz channel unless you are always going to be in the same room as the router, IMHO
ОтветитьIf wifi 6 = 802.11ax, wifi 6e = ??
ОтветитьI was the 20K dude who liked. Im very special !!!!
ОтветитьI still refuse to watch this channel after clickbait many years ago
ОтветитьHi there, what about some wifi 6 routers claiming tri band instead of dual band?
ОтветитьMagnificent 🤩
ОтветитьHi. Can you make a video about this new protocol called 802.11bb or LiFi?
ОтветитьReally a very good information about WiFi 6 and 6E. should say info about whole WiFi. May god give you health and wealth. Keep spreading the knowledge Brother, Love from India
ОтветитьI don't notice a difference between 6 and 6E at all. On a speed test 6e consistently comes in slower than my wifi 6, even right next to the router
Ответить5Ghz is hardly congested anyway. But the speed is nice.
ОтветитьIf i use a non- 6E modem(CM1000) and 6E router(TP link AXE7800), am I missing out on.something? Thanks!
ОтветитьAs far as I have read in the news the EU wants to use the rest of the bandwith of Wifi6e for mobilde communication.
ОтветитьIs not 2.4, 5.2, and 5.8ghz frequencies?
ОтветитьI yr later and it's slow now
ОтветитьThe term Wifi6 it is honestly a consumer rip off and should never have been used! It has the same exact Wi-Fi bands as Wi-Fi 5. Wifi 6 is 6E ONLY, not 6.
ОтветитьI returned the M2 MacBook Pro.
ОтветитьI just went out and got an M2 MacBook Pro because it supported WiFi 6E, I worked with it for 1 week to see if there was any difference over my M1 MacBook Pro both connecting to my Xfinity XB8 which claims to support 6E. There was NO DIFFERENCE. WHAT DID I DO WRONG?
ОтветитьI have yet to see a 6ghz compatible device.
ОтветитьMe on Wifi 6E: Hahaha! This is MY Spectrum! Only I am on 6GHZ in this building! You 2.4GHZ losers suck!
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьThis dude explained this really nicely
ОтветитьGreat informative video. :)
Australia is like Canada. Always limited.
Why did you title this wifi 6 vs 6E when you didn't discuss the differences between them? You should have named it wifi 6/6E vs wifi 5. I learned nothing in this video about why 6E is better than 6
ОтветитьGetting 6e now will make you free 6ghz band for a while and no problem with neighborhood wifi 😊.
ОтветитьWhy does this guy remind me of jesse eisenberg😂
ОтветитьYep, I only had 6 for few years now.
I had Comcast gix an issue I had wit my router and I got a new 6E router.
It's a bit faster, which is always welcomed!
yes.
ОтветитьI recently replaced my Netgear router with a New Wifi 6 Asus Router. I work on PC, and I recently discovered older Toshiba laptops want find my Wifi networks, but it find all my neighbors networks, what would cause this problem how do I fix this issue?
ОтветитьCurrently watching from my wifi 4 ISP provided router.
I know i only have 50mbps internet, but i am really looking forward to getting this wifi 6e router. I need it badly for network file transfer and local game streaming from PC to other devices(TV phone etc...)
should the wireless router/modem have port mapping logs on it if you have never accessed it ?
ОтветитьExcellent job on the video! Thanks for posting.
ОтветитьHow many devices support 6E?
ОтветитьAnd year after real deal; is coming Wifi 7 😊
ОтветитьI was just fine with WiFi ac/5. But I had to upgrade to mu-mimo WiFi 6 because my previous router was super cheap and it only had 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports. I needed gigabit. I won't need to upgrade my WiFi until Wi-Fi 7 or 8 become more common.
ОтветитьHi Thio Joe,how do you do these thing's like what's the cabling with fibre thanks.?
ОтветитьSo Wi-Fi 6 doesn’t use 6 GHz!
That makes sense!🙄🙄
The extra channel only works if you have a device that can read receive something on channel 6?
ОтветитьI still don't really know what the difference between wifi6 and wifi 6e
ОтветитьI would like to see Wi-Fi at much lower frequencies to have a lot of coverage with just 1 access point.
ОтветитьWi-Fi 5 does not support the 2.4 GHz band.
ОтветитьHi ThioJoe, great explanations on channel and width. I have a question though. For each 20Mhz width, is there a fixed maximum throughput that it can carry?
Also when it comes to MIMO e.g. 2x2, is it 1 spatial stream per 20Mhz (I'm putting some random throughput here say 100Mbps); so in this case a 2x2 MIMO allow me a theoretical 200Mbps throughput?
Just curious how many soc cores need to achive that 4x3,5 Gbps speed, or it ll be just marketing like the mid range routers where u ll get max 4-500 Mbps with 2 devices and a completly nuked wired section since all cores ll be at 100% load...
ОтветитьDoes the new router wifi 6 or 6e give you more range? Or the new router only gives more performance to download
ОтветитьAwesome Explanation ... Thank You.
I have been hunting for the 'WHY do I need this' answer for some time.
So far I've only found related videos which explained how to get these things out of the BOX & Hooked up.
ThioJoe, I wonder if you could speak to newer 6/6E Routers 802.11AX protocols controlling and using combinations of all 2 or 3 frequencies 2.4, 5 and 6Ghz, users logon to one network name, as opposed to choosing a specific frequency logons.
ОтветитьBRUH THIS IS SO OLD AHHH
ОтветитьAtleast my router is much older than that so I don't upgrade
ОтветитьWhat modem would you suggest to use with the orbi wifi 6e router?
Ответить
