Dad - How do I? Renew UK driving licence for 70 year olds and over

Just watched this with my Dad and it’s very helpful. His only question that isn’t answered in the video is whether he should use a ‘tick’ or use an ‘x’ in the boxes on the form? Does it matter? Thanks! :)

I’m 29, passed my test in 2017 but looked at my licence and it expired in 2020! Looking online looks like I may get a fine and a ban, is this right? I guess it’s been ten year since I got my provisional but not passing my test, will I have to retake the test?

I've heard that if you want to keep categories other than B usually included, after the over 70 renewal the application needs to be done by post.
