How will you match scopes if there's different angles?

After the announcement of the new Canon C200, I'm thinking this course is going to be very popular among Sony FS5 owners, which the Canon C200 is obviously competing with.

Can you make a similar course on matching digital and film? I like the colors from Steve McCurry photographs when he was shooting Kodachrome. I've been trying to replicate those colors on files from my digital camera but without any success.

Awesome Dave! Would I be able to follow the process in FCPX using Color Finale Pro? That's what I use. The scopes and waveform monitors are there as you already know.

Cool! I am glad you finished it. I have my own technique, but may take a peek myself as I am very curious about how you do it. :) Best of luck with it!

Dave will this help with Color matching scenes shot with the same camera but with variable lighting (e.g. two different rooms inside a home)?

Matching is really hard! Luckily I have a 5d3 and a t4i. But it's my GoPro that I use from time to time that is hard to match.

Awesome. Really love your straightforward presentation style. Perfect amount of warmth/approachability/professionalism and very candid about your own deficiencies or areas where you lack expertise. Big fan!

Hey Dave, I'm interested in buying your course for color matching, but wanted to know a couple things before buying. I have watched all your videos describing it, but just wanted to know anyway.

Can I use this course for run and gun situations when I dont have time to put an xrite color checker in every shot? Or is this course limited to only interview/controlled environment shots?

For example, could I use the information you provide to make my own lut (knowing how I'll expose it) for situations when I can't use a color checker?

Would it be a bad idea for me to intentionally put myself in a position where I would need to do this? Meaning I currently own a 5DMK3 and a XC10 and I'm looking at getting a third camera the A7iii. Would it make more sense to purchase another Canon and ignore the lure of the nice features of the A7iii? :)

Hey Dave! Just wanna say thanks, I bought this after I went to a shoot with 1 Sony camera and the client had me use their photographer's Canon camera as a B cam, it is scientific so I was worried how it look at the end as I followed the steps but it worked wonderfully when I got to the final step! I used cine4 on Sony so I added a general lower saturation -5 too in the Sat step and it all worked out great, thx!
