I DROPPED my Pixel 3A XL Screen on 3rd Day of Use! [PSA:WATCH BEFORE BUYING!]

I bought tempered glass protectors and have a case. Dropped the phone face down on tile. It broke internally. Dropped the phone again 2 months later on to concrete on its back and it broke the display yet again.

Never had a phone with a screen this fragile. Dragontrail is straight up JUNK! The 3a/XL is no bargain. It's a brick in disguise. I DO blame Google. They cheaped out.

i got a screen protector and shockproof case and my pixel 3a xl dropped from about 5ft and just died cracked screen and screen glitched out

You need to stop with this false video. I've had a pixel 3a xl for 2 years now and dropped it so many times, without a single crack. Based on your video, I noticed you have a screen protector that's cracked and you made it seem like it came from the phone screen itself. I would've subscribed but you ruined it, by being deceitful.

You drop your phones to much. How about pay attention where your phone is. I've been using smartphones since they came out and dropped my phone once

I grew to hate my Pixel 3a so much that I wanted rid. 6 months in and it started to misbehave. I've never hated a phone that much before. Two whacks against a wooden table and ... it cracked. Three and it went black. A few more and the thing was dead - and I was free.

I have tempered glass installed on my pixel 3a with rhinoshield solidsuit case and with a 2 feet drop the screen cracked to pieces while the tempered glass was still about 90% intact. 😄 Now I need to pay 150 euro for repair while a brand new pixel 3a now costs 290 euro 😆

After 1 week it slipped out of my pocket from about 1ft and the screen cracked...got a replacement and am terrified of using it now.

My Pixel 3a, dropped on the road ,didnt notice that, After 1 minute, I ran back, to see there he is. Found it on the road, with the screen full of cracks, the screen was destroyed, I dont how much cars, passed on him, but I was so unlucky on that day. Used 5 months, no scratches, nothing, a open pocket in the wrong place, and thats all. Also cant find an original display replacement.

I agree that the glass on the screen is fragile. When I took my brand new pixel 3a xl out of the box, I saw a tiny chip at the top edge of the screen. Google refused to cover the warranty. I was told it's not a chip but a part of the manufacturing process. Oh well. Google need to buck on their quality control because it's can be a hit or miss...

DragonTail is just another producer lul, same hardness same whatever lol

barely even noticeable, if you're scared about cracks buy a screen protector.

I've been using the 3a for about a month no case or screen protector and I don't have a scratch on it

1: I've hit phones smack in the screen with a hammer and had a hard time breaking them
2: Your phone case is a piece of crap
3: You can't even see the "crack"

Just cracked mine a few hours ago. About 2 foot drop from my shirt pocket which isnt the smartest but yah, half the glass looks like good marbled steak. My screen protector is just fine, glass cracked underneath or else it would be useless. My amFilm glass protector is way stronger than dragontrail. More disappointed in how easily this cracked when my iPhone 6 survived the most horrific of drops compared....

I have tempered glass protector and phone case protection, but I still broke my third screen today. I surrender and will not change new screen again, my phone is only 6 months life in the world

I've got a 3a xl and I've had to buy a new screen and they break so easily. Would not recommend the 3a over the 3 purely for this reason as the new screen was £140 because the LCD is stuck to the screen

I just got my pixel 3a about one week ago and a already cracked it and it only dropped an inch

I have dropped my 3a a hundred times with same case. No cracks yet. Dragontrail is still excellent.

I've cracked my Pixel 3a glass after 4 months use and replaced a new screen the day after from uBreakiFix at cost CAD$119. But unfortunately the screen was cracked again after 4 hours use. I never have this experience for using smart phone for over ten years.

I dropped mine from about 4 feet, no case on tiles. No damage

Although it shouldn't break dragon trail is made by a Japanese company called asahi, and is tested and rated to the same spec as gorilla glass, you was just unlucky I think,I have dropped mine with the same case from about 3.5ft and bounced down the hill a little and didn't do any damage

I know that feeling. My 1 year old brother dropped my S7 edge and it has a crack that is barely noticeable. I was very sad for a week or so. Now I don't even notice that crack anymore

Pixel hardware is in general sh***t, microphone issues, display issues, issues with the waterproof ability, sim card issues!!! Google is not able to build high quality Hardware!

This doesn't really prove anything. Now if it was in a proper case, and it still broke, then there would be a better argument for blaming the glass itself. But any phone would break in a case like...that...thing.

I dropped my 3A from less than 3 feet on concrete. It wasn't a violent drop. I just missed my trouser pockets and the phone slid down and hit the concrete. It was less than a week since I got the phone. It was shocking. I have dropped all my previous phones from ever higher elevations. It is disappointing that Google used such low quality glass.
I've never used case or screen protector. I'm usually careful but a drop or 2 over 3 years is going to happen. If the first drop breaks the phone, it is bad !!

I've dropped my Pixel 3a XL AT LEAST a dozen yes without a scratch to show for it. You either are lying about how far it dropped or how you dropped it. My some has the same phone and shares the same experience as me. This thing is rugged! I love it!

Same happened to me and I had a case on and was about the same height! It does crack pretty easy!

the pixel 3a is a piece of dogsh1t. screen shattered (read exploded) on me after a week. and even after a couple of days the lint in my pockets was scratching it up.

I wish I had watched this video before buying. Three weeks after I got my Pixel 3a, I dropped it onto a tile floor with the Google case and a good portion of my screen's bottom cracked. I wasn't expecting it to be that fragile, as I dropped my last phone in far worse conditions for over two years and only got a minor chip in one corner. For those of you considering buying, I'd suggest either getting the extended warranty (if it can be confirmed that Google will cover repairs on drops), buying a better case and screen protector, or paying the extra amount for the supposedly more durable Pixel 3.

The case you're using is not fully covering everything either. You must buy Spigen or OtterBox with a tempered glass. Google cases are absolutely garbage for protection. It's only for looks

I love the feel of the Google fabric cases but for protection they are terrible. They offer zero shock protection and the corners of the case will flatten on impact and cause the glass to hit the pavement. Trust me I whipped my 3a out of my pocket the other day, it flew out of my hand and dropped from 5 feet down. Luckily I did use the Zagg screen protector and that saved my phone screen. Either way like you I quickly picked up a better case (otterbox symmetry) .


Side note though Dragon glass is more brittle than Gorilla glass. Same scratch protection but lower durability. But yeah, ditch the fabric cases because they are crap.

Don't buy it guys, there's no way you can protect the corners of this phone when you dropped it accidentally..
