FX DRS Classic .22 cal 500mm UpNorth Airgunner Range Report!

I’ve spent the past week really taking a deep dive into the new FX DRS Classic and in short… FX’s simplistic approach with this new Airgun is what airgunning should be all about. Pure. Pellet. Precision. Period.

The FX DRS Classic is as pure of an airgunner experience as you can get. I forgot how fun it is to shoot pellets! I’ve been so hopped up on power hungry slug blasting, I forgot what an absolute pleasure it is to drop pellets into the same hole over and over and over again.

Over the past week I’ve fed this 500mm FX DRS Classic topped with the Element Optics HDLR every single projectile I have in my ammo case from 15gr through 23gr. Velocity ranged from 800-900 FPS. But the big question is what kind of shot count can you actually get with such a small over-the-barrel reservoir and smaller box plenum?

After feeding this gun quite a few different options my analysis is you can’t go wrong with the new AEA Center Punch pellets. At 880 FPS this Airgun loves and I mean LOVES the 15.9 gr. AEA Center Punch pellets. Total shot count on a 220 bar fill. 35 shots!

When Bin at The Pellet Shop called me to tell me that I needed to forget everything I thought I knew about pellets and trust him about these AEA Center Punch Pellets. I was really skeptical, but he was NOT WRONG. I mean this in the most professional way… HOLY SHIT! That isn’t hyperbole either.

As you can see in this video it snowed yet again. Yesterday it was a full sunny day and charged this new Mokwheel E-Bike to 100% on the 20 amp hour Lithium battery with the solar panel kit. The cool thing about this hunting e-bike is you can use the battery and 1000w inverter as a power station with portable Airgun compressors. Even cooler is you don’t even need the e-bike!

I spent 5 hours at the range today and TONS of 220 bar fills of the FX DRS Classic with the Lil Foot Compressor off the battery and it only used 20%!

This version of the FX DRS platform is the lowest powered option, but can get hot rodded up to a 1000 FPS heavy slug slinger. Stay tuned as I slowly add the FX DRS accessories and mods to go from pellet plinker to slug smasher!
