Marr forgot to mention an absolutely HUGE influence was James Honeyman-Scott. Honeman-Scott played a ricky, a 335 along with many others. He also used a lot of major 7 chords and had a jingly jangly chorus sound that Marr copied.

Makes me cringe seeing people get their phones out when at events like this when it’s recorded anyway

That strap falling off is driving me crazy

So refreshing to see a guitarist being a musician not a musical athlete playing a million notes a second that no one cares about. Creating actual brilliant music rather than showing off. Awesome dude.

Outstanding video listening to this great man and not just his music , all guitarists should watch this and listen to what he has to say, what a master, craftsman and gentlemen..

I've played guitar for a few decades and Johnny Marr has probably forgotten more awesome riffs than I'll ever know. Dude is nothing short of epic.
