50 & gamer for life!
ОтветитьNo way dude, I’ve been following you since the beginning. Wow. Uh oh, that means I’m getting old too 👀 (wife and two kids later…) Silver lining, my 3 year old can clear Mario 1-1 on his own 🥺 - We can grow old but stay young at heart. I still have your kickstart DVD somewhere 😊 much love, MGTX
ОтветитьHow about in my 60's 😁
ОтветитьDo what you love doing ❤ it doesn’t matter how old you are .
ОтветитьI am 38 years of age and do not really play video games anymore. I will play a round or two of Hot Shots Golf on my PS2, but that is about it. I do think it is wrong to like shame someone that is an adult that is a gamer though. That is ridiculous.
ОтветитьThis speaks to me as a 35 year old woman gamer who streams, loves anime and cosplay. My parents were hoping I would stop eventually but I didn’t haha. Nerd culture is such a huge part of me I would feel lost if I gave up on it. It really does feel like I am walking a lesser traveled road sometimes. I love when I can connect and find others with similar interests as me. So I am happy to find your channel !
ОтветитьI'm a 40 year old gamer
ОтветитьTurning 34 soon here and just bought a Switch. I see gaming as a stress relief and short escape from the real world but i definitely don't game for hours and hours like I did back as a teen. Overall, still enjoy gaming and can't wait for Switch 2 release!
Ответить70 year old gamer here!
ОтветитьThe thing with being an older gamer is my taste in games is way different than the average zoomer. Its why I thank my lucky stars for indie games.
ОтветитьI’m 55 in July 2024 and I still love gaming. 😊
ОтветитьIm 43 yea im just now understanding this
ОтветитьTell me about It.. Start playing with Atari 2600, Colecovision, Vectrex and Vic20😊
ОтветитьHappy belated birthday 🎂🎂 I’m a 49 year old gamer and I collect games myself now my kids want to be gamers your story is so similar to mine keep gaming👍🏾
Ответить48 years old here. Gamer since atari 2600
ОтветитьI have similar view of videogames, i have similar life except im poor and havent figured out how to have passive income to support this videogamer life... all my life im sharing videogames with newer and newer generations, my current best game is tears of the kingdom which usurped link to the past as fave zelda game also botw before totk...
ОтветитьWhat a legend!
Ответить54 YRS YOUNG BABY!!!!......From raiding my mother's purse for quarters to DEAD SPACE 2023....and I still can't type for shit on this tiny typewriter on my phone.... SKYRIM 4 EVER.
ОтветитьHAPPY BIRTHDAY HCG!!!!! Thank you so much for all the incredible videos over the years!
Ответитьyou are never too old to play video games
ОтветитьJust turned 40 recently and will continue to play games as long as I can. Wife isn't really into gaming but my two kids are, so gaming is alive and well in my house
Ответить52 yesterday and I own a ps3 and ps4, and I played D&D back in the 80s. I'll never stop playing video games, I'll be getting a ps5 next. Rock on brother.
Ответитьi am 61years old I still play games not as often i use to
ОтветитьMan, I've been gaming since I was 11 years old. I am now 63 and have retro and new consoles. Keep goin!
ОтветитьI'm 51 and I can't help myself but I still love games in my generation is when the original console cam out
and it blew me away. I was poor so I didn't get into arcade as much cus I couldn't afford it. So when my folks got the atari 2600 it was over.😅 I mean it didn't rely hit until like Nintendo and lynx era cars a few gaps like no koleco vision and a few others. But I still can't help it. So I glad now they dont shame as much I see a lot of old schools now gaming I think it's great. I also had a mean gijoe collection too😊
Way way way too old to be still gaming 😆
ОтветитьCongrats, I will be 50 this year and will never stop gaming😊
Ответить44 here. Started gaming at 5 when the NES launched and never looked back. What's amazing is that after a lifetime of gaming there are still so many gems left to experience, and new ones dropping everyday. Just started playing the first Diablo for the first time this week. Hope I'm still alive to experience when VR becomes the norm for gaming adventures! Game on! Get N or get out!!
Ответить44 year old teacher here. My students fear my gaming prowess by reputation alone.
"Dude, teach is OG. You think he ever had easy games when he was our age?"
Ah, their blissful ignorance.
Great Video! My Dad is the person that got me into video games. He’s currently 73 and owns a PS5. He knows what he’s into and doesn’t care what others think.
ОтветитьIt sucks to age, but at the same time its better to keep getting older than to die young. A long life of happy gaming to you all.
Ответить100% re aging in your 30s and 40s. The time between my 30th and 40th went by so quickly! I’m 43 this year and it didn’t seem that long since my 40th!😮
ОтветитьLol, just getting back into gaming since 2007 at 57. Age is just a number.
ОтветитьI'm 52, and I feel our generation grew up at the dawn of home video games. My parents thankfully didn't try to discourage me from playing. I've owned so many great systems. Atari 2600, Colecovision, C64, Amiga 500, and early dos computers. Add in all the Playstation, Nintendo, and Xbox consoles as well. I've built 5 pc systems for myself and my kids. Today, we have 2 pcs, Switch, PS5, and an Xbox series X.
I've had various girlfriends and an ex-wife make me feel ashamed for wanting to play them. I'll never let that happen again. My current girlfriend doesn't play them, but she totally supports my hobby. Don't ever be ashamed of being a gamer.
LOL!!! Grandpa Simpson cutaway was hilarious! Turning 50 this year and I’m still enjoying video games. My problem is the lack of dedicated time to try the many games I’ve acquired. Nice video and can’t wait for the 60th gamer video 👍👍
Ответить😊😊😊😊
ОтветитьGetting close man, just hit 48 and now live in South Korea, so I get to re-learn the whole gaming scene and experience some games I've never even heard before etc.
ОтветитьI hear you, man. Turning 44 in a few days, I give all this a lot of thought these days. Definitely remember the shame from various family members back in the 80's and 90's. Even from some friends that were more into sports. Enjoyed this :)
Ответить55 here
ОтветитьIn 2004 you were thirty. Wow
ОтветитьLove that shirt
ОтветитьIts cool bro im 44. I game kinda hard. Mostly single player ps5 games. I dont have time for multiplayer games. They get practice while im working 2 jobs
ОтветитьI’m double nickels and was never told to let video games go. My mother encouraged me because it was something I was interested in. It has improved my hand to eye coordination and also was an escape from the real world. I was never shamed by anyone except maybe my ex-wife. Thank goodness my current wife who is a little older also appreciates video games like I do.
There was a time I slowed down buying video games until about 4 years ago. The all digital future isn’t what I want even though there is nothing to stop it so I’ll play my classic games any way I want and get whatever console I want to play more video games whether it is classic or modern! I am not biased.
It only seems the other week you did your I'm 40 video! My uncle and cousin got me into games in the late 80s before I could even scribble lol. My uncle is in his 70s now and still gaming, my cousin is studying his doctorate in VR related tech. I am still however the average gamer but likewise its not going anywhere! Big loves John and here is to another 50 years! ;D
ОтветитьSubd!
Ответитьoh lol i remember watching your content when i was like 11 years old or something i swear
ОтветитьKeep gaming brother!!!
ОтветитьStiill waiting for Camelot Unchained I'm almost 50. Dark Age of Canelot was my favorite game besides Ultima Online
Ответить
