No prophet sent by Allah claimed the dignity. They assigned only to convey the message of Allah to His slaves. Jesus preached Islam and he was a Muslim.

Jesus prophesied that last and final messengers will come when he will go. It is duty of every prophet to inform his followers about coming of last and final messenger -- prophet Mohammad (pbuh).

Christians have to believe in prophet Mohammead(pbuh) and follow him.
otherwise they are not true followers
of Jesus (pbuh).
If they do not believe in Islam, Jesus will not love them and they will be rejected. They will not enter in Paradise.
It is in their broader intersts in this world and in Hereafter to believe in Islam. Jesus will love them otherwise not.

Almighty Allah created everything and Mankind.
He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. When He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only:Be! and it is. (Qur'an,2:117)

A Creator knows what He is created. What He says in Holy Qur'an is fact not hypotheses or theories:
" Lo! this (Qur'an)is a conclusive word, It is not pleasantry".
(Qur'an,86:13,14)
It is book of Almighty Allah. The Creator tells us what is fact not hypothesis or theories.

" Should He not know what He created? And He is the Subtile,
the Aware".
