I FIXED IT FOLLOWING THE TIP TO PUT "WWW" ON THE URL.

Neither fixed this. Send help? :(

Adding the code specified in the blog has now messed up my entire website...I now try and load WP and the message "Error establishing a database connection" pops up.

can someone help? I've been getting "Avoid landing page redirects" on GTmetrix and i cant figure out how to fix this.
Its the only thing that's really slowing down my website and its by like 4 sec.

Yeah it was my ssl plugin. Adding the www here sorted me out, thank you.

it sometime happen when you add some wrong plugin.. i have also faced this issue and also resolved it when i removed that plugin which causes this issue.. so just remove your plugin and your site will work fine :)
