How to fix No Signal or Black screen problem on any GPU - this time on GTX 1080 Ti

Hi my aorus 1080ti is showing no display and a vga debug light after a driver update,ive taken it apart,no obvious signs something has gone wrong i tried it in a different computer and its showing the same issue,i have no idea what to do

my 1080ti also has this issue, black screen after game play (Forza horizon5/ genshin impact/ cyberpunk) so far, but no issue when burn with 3d mark...no idea why

Hello, I have an evga 980 ti 6gb card, the problem is when I go to the game, after a few minutes the screen goes black and the graphic card fans work. I have to restart the system to take pictures again. I changed the thermal paste to no avail. I also get good fps in games, this shows that the card works well. Actually, sometimes I play with this card for several hours, but I don't have any problems. Please tell me where the problem is

hi, i'm having issues with my new 1080ti (inno3d ichill) everything's fine until i started to play games just for a while, it crashed and rebooted my pc (while playing something like metro redux it was running fine at 60fps max settings, skyrim, doom eternal they're all fine) should i underclock the gpu? or flash my bios?

For anyone that still hasn’t fixed this issue yet I hope this helps:

Hook up a hdmi cable to the port of the motherboard going to your tv and once you are at the windows startup screen also hook up a second hdmi cable to your graphics card and tv.. this helped me atleast force my pc to recognize the graphics card in the device manager. ( if you have an error code 43 showing there download drivers and hopefully you will be good to go)

Heyy, I dont know if you are still replying but i wanted to put forward the issue that has been driving me insane from a couple of days. Since i cannot afford a new gpu rn or even a used one lol, my friend gave me his GTX 1080 as he upgated his GPU but i am not getting display on it. I have tried the following:

SPECS:
Intel Xeon 1245 v3
16gb ddr3 1600mhz
Asus b85m-g
650 watt cm 80+ gold. (tried different psu too)

1. It does boot up at times (once in 20 times), when it does boot up, it works like a charm but when i restart or shutdown my machine, it doesnt work.

2. I tried it on an AMD pc (two of them with different configs infact) , the card booted up in a second but it was not performing well, a lot of jerks in furmark and games, FPS dropping almost 50% and alot of stutters.

3. I tried DDU, i tried latest BIOS and i tried LATEST and old drivers as well.

4. It doesnt work on any INTEL system, it just doesnt boot or give display.

I am really tired after searching for long, unable to find a solution. And i live in pakistan so there is no official support for GIGABYTE here

Reflowing graphics cards is NOT the way to fix them. This is a bodge job, you should not be working on cards when you do not know how to fix them properly

Do you think that the reason that poor graphics card is faulty is because there was no thermal paste and it got hot enough to melt solder?

I got proplem with my 1080 i was using Mining riser on it and i saw a spark coming from the riser and now my gpu switching on and fan working but its not detecable any more i tried to heat the chip but nothing what should i do ?

Hi, Thank you for the vid. Had the same issue with my 1080Ti had the extended warranty and it was replaced with a 2080Ti!! But now 1 year or so later now the same thing is starting to happen with my 2080Ti.. DP no signal !! I have to constantly reboot! and some times I have to wait a few hours before it will decide to work again! WTF. Thanks again for the vid

Hi, I have a same problem with zotac 1080 to , the card boots up normally, it lights up and fans run. It's even showing in device manager. But no display or back lit at all. After trying install drivers it's breaking my windows system. What do you think is the problem? PCB seems absolutely fine, no signs of damages .

Actually problem is when i checked card i plugged out the fan Connector the gpu works perfectly and when the fan Connector plugged in the display goes black screen.

Hello! I have i similar problem on my 1070 ti. No signal ever at normal startup, but when I push the reset button I get signal and everything seems to work fine. So right now I start up, push reset everytime i star my computer. Can it be the same problem? Thanks

Hi I've been having some issues with my graphics card, one day randomly my computer turned off and when i tried to reboot it, it would freeze at the windows loading screen and then give me a black screen. I have tested with multiple hard drives and it works fine in safe mode and in normal mode before I install drivers, but as soon as I install the drivers the computer will shut down and the same thing will happen. I have been using the nvidia geforce experience to install the drivers, so I don't think they are outdated. Btw it is a 780ti classified kingpin edition, I bought it second hand about a year ago and have been using it for light gaming. Thanks

i have the same thermal paste and its awful it even overheats my i7 5820k. 75c @ 1480mhz is not good my friend. test it on heaven and you will see it cook itself. and furmark is not boosting the gpu to full 3d clocks

Hey there I have a gtx960 2gb, it doesn’t display anything except black screen and my device manager won’t detect my card from intergrated graphics, my fans spin and it lights up just like this one, should I try this ? I don’t have a heat gun or flex

so my 1080ti has started black screen randomly i changed its long over due paste and it still do it so is it just fuckin dead now randomly or should i do this?

This worked for me but i used a candle to revive my sleeping card which was not booting and stuck at black screen. Lol Thanks.

Hi good day to you, my card is almost same as the one you fixed, the problem is it only works in very low resolution like 1200x something but when driver is installed and become full HD 1920x1080 then my pc sudden reboot, I try many times but it always reboot it only stays for about 10 or 20 seconds, can I ask for your advice if my card can be still repair? My card is 1080ti and psu is 600watts with i7 10 gen and 16gb mem. Hope you can help me, thank you.

Hi, I've got a probelm with my Asus Strix gtx 970 I got recently on eBay. My first problem is I need to load into bios first so I can load into Windows, otherwise I will get a short blue line running horizontal on my screen. And second is I get a black screen 3 minutes after I've loaded into a game and I have to restart my pc. Do you know what the problem could be?

god please people do not do this run Mats/mods diag tool first bad memory ic can cause no display and card to detect only go for reflow if card does not detect in windows as a secondary card useing gpu z if it does not u check for ur voltage rails if the rails are all there then u look in to reflowing the gpu and only then do u do that as a last resort
