ОтветитьI have a vizio oled 65-h1 TV and have horizontal lines with some burned images in the background. I have swapped out a new tcon board already with the lines still appearing. There are 4 sets of ribbon cables. I am not sure which one goes with which side of the screen. Please help.
ОтветитьI have the same problem the thing it’s coming at interval like for 3 sec to almost whole screen then goes for another 3 sec an so on. Dear, any idea what is the reason and how to fix?!
ОтветитьMake it easy? Throw your old tv and buy new one
ОтветитьI think I will attempt this for my MI widescreen monitor. The lines came and went for a while, usually across the bottom and slightly flickering or changing color. But now they've turned black, which probably means they wont go away anymore.
This isn't really usable, so I might as well try to fix it
Hi Rhys: the problem with my 58" TV is that the horizontal lines are not always at the same location. Sometimes cover most of the screen but after a while, say half an hour, they almost disappear, with just a few flickering lines near the top of the screen unlike the ones in your example that are stationary confined to just near the top of you screen. In my modest opinion there is something else that is wrong with my TV. Could be a ribbon cable? I replaced the T-con board after I probably damaged the original board plugging and unplugging the ribbon cables.
ОтветитьDoes anything change when you replace the ribbon?
ОтветитьWow, what an excellent and informative video. I have an issue with my LCD TV where it produces a single horizontal line, 1 pixel deep, that looks to be a duplicate of another area of the screen. No idea if this is the same as having those black lines? Any idea if this could be T-con board/ribbon connected?
ОтветитьI no yr videos are old- but pls respond i have a 65" vizio P65C1 right side shows awesome lrft side has colored lines my Tcon board has 4 ribbons - what to do! Ty
ОтветитьThe piece of tape fixed my issue so I got round to swapping the T-Con board today but the issue is still there, and I had to put the tape back. Does that mean the T-Con board is potentially fine and the ribbon cable is the culprit? Thanks
Ответитьgreat video. would changing the tecon board fix the problem completely. as u said the line is only getting signal from one side now?
ОтветитьHi there thanks for the video !
Is it possible to fix the issue of the horizontal lines? Like fixing the lcd circuits for the RGB pixels ?
Or it's impossible if the problem is on the lcd itself ?
Thanks
Honestly lcd breakages being 'uneconomical to repair' is the most frustrating risk of buying modern electronics...just in process of deciding if i should waste money on trying a repair or just face ive lost 400 quid..
ОтветитьHey, so what set of components would you label as bad for this to happen?
ОтветитьI can’t believe it. I fixed it. You saved me hundreds and hundreds of dollars on a new tv. I had barely had this one for more than a year. I’m so relieved.
ОтветитьThanks so much for being here. I have collected all the things I need but am stumped at locating the clock pins. I’m working with a Sony tv and the board is an le650aqp. Is there a certain page or specific language to use to find which pins on the board are the clk’s. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
ОтветитьSo we need a electric tool to measure row signals?
Ответитьthis helps alot! thank you!
ОтветитьI had horizontal lines bottom half of the screen. I did what was in your video and now my whole screen is not showing any image even after removing the tape. Help!!
ОтветитьI have a vision 50 got green horizontal line and wide ban of green

ОтветитьHi Guys,
I’m a woman….still is jebirish talk…can I block all the line with tape not to guess?!?
I got Hitachi 58 inch and the top 10 cm horizontal.
Please help me out on this. Only 2 years old in February this tv.
Thank you ever so much
Hi Rhys: I have a 58" QLED TV from Aldi Australia and started with horizontal lines 29 months after purchasing it. I took one of the ribbon cables to see which one was the problem, but when I plugged it back, the image disappeared completely. I unplugged it and plugged both cables one at a time back several times (sometimes I could hear the sound of different channels) but I could not get the image. I would be happy to get the TV back as it was with lines and all. Thanks in advance if someone could help me.
ОтветитьHello, sir. I had changed backlight in success, 55x8500c.
When securing panel and bezel, some side cable might be damaged then some horizontal lines appeared at up side and low side😢
Only when I pushd side cable slightly, few lines disappeared but appeared again once rereased...
Even in this case, is it possible to try using taping block as ur movie??
Sorry for my poor English, fm Jpn, thanks😊
What all tools did you use? What did you cut the tape with that tool was neat. Is there a certain kind of multimeter I should get?
ОтветитьI paid 400$ to get an issue like this fixed!!!!!!....now I have a 65 Vizio that has horizontal lines on the bottom of the screen they started off tiny now the whole picture is like in slow motion but I definitely don't have the 400$ to get it fixed fingers crossed I'm going in ...
ОтветитьMy LG 43UK6500AUA TV has an additional problem. Apart from being covered by horizontal lines for 90% of the area, the image under the lines freezes for a few seconds, then works for a few seconds. This cycle repeats endlessly. The top 10% of the screen works perfectly. Will replacing the mainboard, part # EBU64688503, fix this issue? Or is it the ribbon cables at fault? I showed it to a technician and he said that the entire display panel needs replacing. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
ОтветитьSir how will we know which line we need to block and which not?
ОтветитьWould you resell a tv you fixed like this?
ОтветитьThe first part where you remove those cables either left or right, once i did that the backlight stopped working and the little bit of image i had is now also gone. Now i am sitting with a completely black screen and no back light. What can be the cause ?
ОтветитьI was probably trying to use "it's an old tv, time to replace it" as an excuse for laziness...But then I just gave it a shot and tried this. It fixed the flickering horizontal lines on my tv and saved me some money with just a piece of tape lol
ОтветитьWhat if the lines come and go? My TV has lines that run from top to bottom for 2 sec then stop and everything is fine for another 2 sec and then again.
ОтветитьI have an Element Roku 55”, and the horizontal lines are on the bottom. They’re not too bad. I don’t even noticed them anymore. The lines didn’t show up until I moved the tv from upstairs to downstairs. Is this common? Is it possible I tightened a screw too tight on the wall mount? I know these lines can be a wear-and-tear issue, but the relocating seems to have been what caused this. Do you think just reseating the ribbons would solve it?
ОтветитьBrilliant 2 videos, I used the method and fixed horizontal lines and flickering image, but I have lost the red signal to half of the screen, will have to adjust size of tape now by trial and error 😕
ОтветитьTv stoped flickering but now one half of the screen is brighter is that normal with this or do i need to fix the tape positioning
ОтветитьCan you pls help with Samsung LE32C450E1WXXH? The same problem, horizontal lines on screen in the upper part. This TV have only one ribbon cable. Thx

ОтветитьCan you pls help me, how repair the same problem on oldest samsung LE32C450E1WXXH?
ОтветитьThank you so much!! You saved me a tv! And I learnt something new today. Thanks for your time and effort! ❤🎉
ОтветитьI have 2 LG tvs in need of some help. One is Lg 55uh6030 and a LG OLED65C9AUA. The first one was working fine then once it was on for a while (usually 30 minutes to an hour) horizontal lines would appear then the screen would go black. Sound remained unaffected. I replaced the t-con board board with a new one but no change so i put the old one back. The oled has a black screen with skinny little white horizontal lines on the left side of the screen. Please help
ОтветитьDude! Thanks for the explanation!
Picked up a free Samsung smart TV and watch two videos showing to use tape but they didn't show the fault finding process, now I'm off to give it a try.
Will dis worsen if i keep using the monitor with dis problem?
