Marines , like Myself, John Rodriguez, wore the Woodland M81 Cammies ( for Battle Dress Uniform ( BDU) is an Army - Air Force Term) with the sleeves rolled up ,not the NBC Sleeves of Soldiers, Airmen ,and SEALs. Reconnaissance Marines and now MARSOC Raiders do NOT wear subdued Navy - Marine Corps Parachutist Wings nor Combatant Diver Badge , but, in anodized brass. Commissioned and Warrant Officers wear the leather belt in a Garrison environment. Before You Yourself, Richard Hy the Army Guy start to diss My Marine Corps, how about checking out Our Uniform Regulations( MCO 1020.34H) , and, NOT (mis)using AR670-1 to " Armyfi" Marine Corps Uniform and Grooming Standards. 🇺🇸🇺🇲🦅🌎⚓👿🐶🪖💣💥🔥🇺🇸🇺🇲‼️‼️

When my dad taught me how to roll sleeves, he told me Army sleeves get "folded", Marine sleeves get rolled because folding is too complicated for them. 😂

I'm a firefighter, only an unpaid volunteer when I can get out of paid work (sarcasm). Anyway, one of the best movies ever. You need more jokes about recruits that were afraid of the bad man in the closet.

Hold up Drill. Major Pain is USMC. Not sure about the brass/campaign hat, but his sleeves are rolled correctly for Uncle Sam's Misguided Children. Rolling them the correct (Army) way is too difficult, takes time away from their crayon snack time.

If you're legit you should make this a series finish major pain if you haven't already

Major Payne was in the Marines I recognize his military clothes because the Marines you got two types of uniforms that they dress up in when they going somewhere this white dude that's talking all this shit he's the one that's fake he's nothing but a prison boot camp advisor instructor nothing more he's not in the military he's a drill instructor for boot camp for young teens that's all he is I know Major Payne was a movie but at least he had all his original colors on in the movie and major pain was a major lieutenant when he met those kids when he got reinstated he became a major corporal and that's when he left the catch the train but he came back to be with the kids this white dude you can tell that he's not really in the military just look at his hat that he's wearing

I laugh whenever I see the Army dudes trying to give Marine Characters a "roast".

He’s right because when I did ROTC in High school in Hawaii and I went to Kaiser High School we wore the same uniform and we had to look nice too and I made mine look nice and I’ve never had my sleeves look like that I always had it nice and same with our dress uniform we had to make it look nice and putting our own ranks on it and we had to do that for inspection and clean dress shoes and boots too and all of us had to do it when I did it at Kaiser High School in Hawaii and the cover (HAT) I always worn mine straight never sideways and I finished as a Tech Sergeant in ROTC at Kaiser High School and when I did it you weren’t allowed to wear shorts with your BDU (Battle Dress Uniform) and when I did ROTC at Kaiser High School we wore Long BDU pants black Boots black T-shirt, black belt , same cover but straight, and when doing it your not supposed to be wearing gray long pants, and regular Tena shoes, and you can’t wear blue shirt with the uniform you can’t wear black shorts with the uniform you can’t wear a vest with a blue shirt and regular shoes you have to wear your cover (HAT) straight your not allowed to wear black jacket with the black boots another thing is your not supposed to look different than the other cadets your supposed to look the same like you can’t mix it up at all your not supposed to be crossing your arms at all it’s stand at attention and so the under shirts with the BDU’s are wrong and your not supposed to be having your BDU pant rolled up to your boots rolled up and when doing ROTC in High schools or colleges your not supposed to be wearing white socks and regular Tennis shoes everybody is supposed to be wearing boots that’s how it goes

I still have the movie "major pain" on VHS. That's like an old school DVD for all you youngins out there. I absolutely love that movie, the Wayans Brothers certainly had many of great films. Wish they still made comedy movies like this and their others!

Rank insignia is pinned onto the collar:

Marines from pay-grades E-1 to E-9 wear black insignia.
Marine officers wear polished insignia in garrison, subdued (flat black and brown to replace silver and gold, respectively) or none in the field.
Most badges and breast insignia are authorized for wear on the utility uniform, shined or subdued as appropriate. Landing Support Marines also wear the Red Patch insignia.

As for the hat, he's on staff at a private school and not an active duty Marine so he'd wear the hat dictated by his employer.

As for the kids looking like a mess, that's the whole point of the movie..

Army vs marine roasting

LOTS of inaccuracies here. If you're a soldier and going to correct a Marine uniform, you need to do at least a little research first. Marine officers, when properly billeted, DO wear a campaign cover, with their distinct difference from enlisted covers being the gold cord around it (like he has in this scene). Also, Marines DO wear their rank, jump wings, and dive bubble on their cammies. Furthermore, while you are correct that his sleeve are too loose, they are rolled correctly. The Marines don't use cute little buttons to hold them in place.

Thanks to health issues, I was never able to serve. Although I wanted to terribly. I was just coming of age right around 9/11 and and I think I would have loved having you as a Drill Sergeant. Downtime would have been hilarious.

To dispute to this video, some Marine Corps officers can wear campain covers, never saw a major wear one but I definitely saw a Warrant officer wear one.
