Thank you! You are very easy to listen to and follow. My 20* year old kitchen aid is back in business and quiet again. Peace and good health to you for 2024.

Thank you so much for your very detailed instructions! This was my first project maintaining a machine without my husband’s help, and you made the process fun and as easy as possible. I also very much appreciated that you had the re-grease kit available on your website. Thank you so much for producing high-quality content! 😀

My planetary pin didn’t easily
slide in…hopefully my hubby can help get it back in without jacking up the gear. Love this video…I almost was able to do the whole job myself 😅

Update: I got it done & with the everdime installed, regrease & gear change, she is running better than like new! Thank you so much for this 3 part series Mr. Mixer! Because of you I was able to restore my late Mema’s kitchenaid & it will be in my family for years to come ❤️

Thanks for a very simple explanation and demonstration. Coincidently my K5ss had the same worm gear issue and it really helped to see you replace it. Where can I get the worm gear and gasket parts and grease. Do you sell it all?

I was terrified when I heard metal-on-metal sounds coming from my trusty KA mixer after using attachments on too high a speed. No one in my area seems to serve KA mixers either! Following your videos helped restore my mixer to as good as new. Thank you SO much for posting this series!

God I hope you reply. I just followed your videos and cleaned then regreased my KitchenAid Artisan machine. Now for the moment of truth I turned your back on and she still making the horrible whining sound that she was making before. Now I don't think it was the grease and I don't know what to do

I put everything back together following your instructions and now, for some reason I have no power? All the wires look connected perfectly fine. They’re all connected. Nothing is pinched the outlet. I’m using is live. Any suggestions?

Uuugh. I ended up with an extra washer and a threaded piece (screw) that is 3/8” long! I took it apart a while ago and so I just went to your last video on putting it back together and I must’ve missed something. I have the classic model.

I was so looking forward to hearing the mixer run at the end after that nice maintenance you did. But I was disappointed you didn't give us that satisfaction. ;)

Can you get worm gears that are not plastic? It seems counter intuitive for everything else to be metal but it be plastic.

Thank you again Mr Mixer, my Kitchenaid was making a grinding noise, so I have opened it up, cleaned it out and found a worn worm gear!! Ordered a new one to fit before I put it all back together! Excellent video, although my 20 year old mixer has a different wiring so the top of the mixer was still attached by 2 wires to the base , which made it a bit tricky to clean, but I managed! Thanks again, from the old country .

I love your detailed description on how to fix this. You don’t assume everybody has a fix-it mind. I think the only thing I would add is something my father taught me. When, taking something apart, lay it down in the order you took it off. That way, you only reverse your order for reassembly. That helped me a lot as a child learning to keep my bicycle clean and greased.

Hello good sir. I regreased a mixer in bought off of FB MP. For some reason the planetary shaft did not want to go back into the shaft housing. So I ended up damaging the bearing/ housing and ordering a new planetary. But I failed to notice that the replacement does not have the counter weight. Do I need that counter weight? Also in order for me to swap out the gears I have to unscrew it from the top with a flat head. Doesn't have the pin washers like in your videos. Is it as simple as removing that screw? I don't want to end up damaging the gears next. Thanks again for your help. You've been very kind with answering my other questions

Have a question for ya. I was in the process of putting the planetery housing back on. And the shaft didn't want to seat so I eventually resorted to the mallet for persuasion. Eventually took the housing back off and noticed the shaft had marred the inside bearing. It literally looked like the shaft was a hair to big all the sudden. Why would this happen? I'll be ordering a new part from you but would like some feedback before I attempt this again

Hello Sir MixaLot. Ty so much for these tutorials. I just purchased a mixer off FB MP and gave it a cleaning. I noticed the cardboard flap at the rear of the speed board was torn on the one side and by thy time I got to putting it back together it had completely ripped off. How essential is that piece and can I get a replacement if need be? And btwi purchased the gasket from you on Fri and received it the following Mon. Awesome service. Ty

The Mr. Mixer videos are the best. So far I have done maintenance on my wife's 20 year old tilt up and on a Pro 5 we bought at a second hand store for our daughter in-law. Total cost on the Pro 5 was $125 for mixer grease and parts. Not bad for a $500 mixer. The Mr. Mixer videos provide everything you need to know and parts and tools are available at a resonable cost on his website. Thank you!

I took apart a used KitchenAid ultra power today to regrease. I got it apart, cleaned up beautifully, and am just hanging out with the parts until the grease arrives. One question: I have three of the cardboard washers left now, and can only figure out where two of them go. All of the points in your videos that I've watched that show these washers all have a washer, and I can't remember where the third one came from lol. All of the worm screw washers are there, the one on the bottom of the planetary and the one underneath the center gear. It's the size of the ones on the center gear and planetary, but I can't figure out where it came from.

Thank you SO much for this series and the resources you stock on your website, by the way. It's helped a ton to get this old mixer working like new again.
