Good. And the ending is well done! Some breaks in the audio, including an inauspicious one at the climax, but hey, it's a broken sort of world isn't it Mr./Mrs. Jeckyll/Hyde? 😅

I believe we're due for another version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Hollywood, please stay out of it.

This TV movie originally aired in 1968, not 86! Produced by Dan (Dark Shadows, Winds of War, Burnt Offerings) Curtis.

I remember seeing this back in '73 on television. I loved it then, and still do today. In my opinion, this is the best ever adaptation of the classic tale.

Mr Hyde is fun. I’d hang out with him. How did he manage his own place and friends so quickly?

This version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde I remember vividly from long ago. The performance of Jack Palance is riveting. They did no need for special effect only Jack Palance's facial expression changed from mild and humble to psychotic amazing.

More English teleplay than movie ... but that's what makes it so damned English good. Palance at his remarkable best.

Love watching historical British movies because they actually had brains, morals, etiquettes, mannerisms and culture

Why does the volume keep cutting out on some scene? Copywrite issue, other than that fantastic adaptation. I 1st heard of this film through a preview on one of Elvira's Thriller Video back in the mid 80's.

I was hoping this movie would be a faithful version of the novel but even though it wasn't, it was extremely enjoyable. I first found out about this when I read Dick Smith created the Mr. Hyde makeup. Not only was it a great makeup design but the makeup looked great in closeups. The only downsides for me was the shot-on-video look and the score. To be fair, the tale is so well known, I don't know if the mystery aspect of the original novel would work so perhaps there's good reason a faithful movie has yet to be made. Thank you for uploading this movie. I watched it streaming today and it's nice to know it's also available for me here.

BRIEF COMMENT: THIS IS AN EXCELLENT TV FILM ON THE JEKYLL-HYDE TALE WHICH IS WELL KNOWN IN THE MACABRE LITERATURE. IT WAS MADE IN 1968 IN ENGLAND & PRODUCED/DIRECTED BY THE LATE DAN CURTIS & THE LATE JACK PALANCE IN THE STARRING ROLE. IT'S BEEN ON DVD FORMAT FOR MANY YEARS. (RIP) DAN CURTIS & THE LATE JACK PALANCE. BOTH MEN ALSO APPEARED IN THE DRACULA TV FILM MADE IN THE SAME YEAR.
