off topic, this song is so good.
ОтветитьHandmade itens are, as expected, expensive. You can still try to sell them, and people will buy it (if they want).
ОтветитьThat's one of the reasons I don't sell my boudoir caps. That and they are a hot mess 😂😂😂
ОтветитьThe same here
Ответитьi never charge per hour tbh
ОтветитьWow! Im so impressed..You keep crocheting whenever you want..Never worry about what others may think or even say..Be yourself.Crocheting is a way to express yourself, its a talent and its very relaxing..I hope you will always crochet in your way and in your timing.
ОтветитьFinally another guy who crochets. Bout time lol ❤
ОтветитьThats fantastic work you do. Like the blanket but my gosh that sweater is Omg love it. I'm a crafter sew, knit crochet, embroider always learning. Do you by any chance have the pattern for the sweater. I've got a lot of extra balls of wool and that sweater would be perfect.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
i don't think anyone's gonna buy a purposely extremely holey shirt.
ОтветитьI get this! It takes me forever to crochet things, so I just make them for myself rather than sell them. There are plenty of people who do this already
ОтветитьI so agree! I quilt and people don’t have a clue as to what goes into making one
ОтветитьMove to south korea and sell them to kpop idols, youll make a fortune saw a few doing that
ОтветитьThat’s the reason
ОтветитьI totally understand. People don't realize the cost of materials and the time it takes to make handmade items. You are very talented. ❤
Ответить완전 최고에요 ❤❤❤
ОтветитьThese are so good
ОтветитьSame reason I don’t sell my jewelry or my crochet work. I put so much time and effort in. I use good quality materials and then somebody decides to tell me how much they’ll pay for something or try to tell me I should sell it for $20 . When it cost more than that and just the materials. So I only do it for people that I love.
ОтветитьTHIS. SO. MUCH. I get why people say to 'know your worth' when it comes to selling crochet/handmade items in general, but...
I crocheted this large (admittedly probably too large) cute heart granny square blanket with nice ruffled edging with REGULAR ACRYLIC YARN... calculating the time and cost of materials, it would be at LEAST ~3k USD if i were to sell it, ~4k if i used living wage.
If i used the beautiful hand dyed yarn i see & drool over at etsy, that would make it even MORE since those suckers are almost 30$ a pop (understandably so, theyre not mass produced yarn obvi). and tell me...who in their right mind would spend 3-4k USD on a cute but regular acrylic yarn blanket, ESPECIALLY NOW when ppl are barely struggling to live??? no one lol so thats why i kinda get it when someone has to undersell themselves a bit when theyre selling crochet stuff. it sucks but its the truth. same reason also why ppl mostly just crochet stuff for themselves and loved ones, or to donate to charity, which is what i wanna do for any more blankets/big items i make from here on out lmao
Do you know how to crochet a cute bunny?
ОтветитьThere is a good song to go with this; 🎵🎶"It costz that much cause it takes me f:ing hours.."🎶🎵.
ОтветитьLove the blankie❤🥺could you do a fruit related pillow to go with it?
Ответить👍👍👍👍❤️❤️ very very nice work, child
ОтветитьI totally understand you.
ОтветитьI already tried selling things I made from another hobby and it killed it. If I make you something in crochet, it's a gift from my heart. I'm not selling them.
ОтветитьThis!!! If you get something from my hand knitted, it's a gift. Because you honestly can't afford the time and supplies I had to put in. There's a reason store bought things are cheaper.
ОтветитьYou're so right
ОтветитьIm new to knitting and i actually just finished my very first scarf. It probably took me a good 3 days to knit. 10 hour "shifts" lol. Overall im proud of my scarf lol
ОтветитьSame, I just make things for myself, my house, or gifts
ОтветитьThat blanket is absolutely beautiful! I crochet myself, and I understand why you don’t sell things. Hope to see more amazing thing!
Ответитьdo it faster💀
ОтветитьI make up-cycle denim tote bags. Labour cost would be at least $500. No one appreciates all the time that goes into making a high quality hand-made product.
ОтветитьI think you should. Those, who know, will pay.
ОтветитьI feel you, crochet is a very expensive work of art that takes time, energy and a whole lot of effort. Many don't value them when we place our prices on them!
Ответить❤👏👏
ОтветитьУмничка!!👏🏻👏🏻🌷
Ответить"It costs that much cos it takes me fucking hours~🎶"
No, like...deadass. As a fellow hooker, I absolutely get it. That's why we just sell patterns usually. 😂
❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьAnd luxury brands like Todd Snyder can sell immaculately hand crocheted sweaters for under 500$, on sale for under 240$ … what is the person that fucking crocheted that piece getting payed? NOT ENOUGH!
ОтветитьI love that sweater!! It's gorgeous!!
ОтветитьD&Gs fall winter collection was almost emtirely made up of crochet peices throughout the collection and if they can sell it for thousands you can do the same dint hold back if someone enjoys your work they will pay the proce for that unique hand made item
ОтветитьMy daughter's best friend's son just joined the Navy & he crochets too & is very good like you!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьYep I feel this so much. 😓
ОтветитьI just can’t let them go😢
ОтветитьNot true
ОтветитьCrocheting for profit sucks the fun out of it. I like being able to stop working on shorts for like 3 months and then randomly finishing them cant do that when people are waiting for orders. I gift things to people especially if I make clothes that are the size of the person who made the pattern (because following measurements exactly helps me with understanding more) and they don’t fit me but fit a friend so they get a custom made piece of clothing and I learned a new skill that I can use to make it for myself if I choose. I refuse to sell anything.
ОтветитьI'm making a totebag crochet, and has been almost two weeks. I can't imagine crocheting for selling.
It might cost maximum around of 50 dollars, and people won't pay for it 😂
Imagine selling it for the amount of time I spent mak8ut
Or shipping and handling.
ОтветитьЯ бы не купила это за 48 000 рублей😂
Но!!! ВОТ ТАК НУЖНО ЦЕНИТЬ СВОЙ ТРУД! ❤
I'm so glad for this. All my friends and family tell me to sell my projects. My response is always, 'you like it so much why don't you buy it and start me up? After i tell them the cost, they suggest selling it online. Then I respond if you can't afford right now, what makes you think another will afford it together with postage? 'Y'all are broke and won't be able to afford it' so let me enjoy myself😂
ОтветитьI love to see men in the crochet community
