Drag your feet
Go to bat for someone
Run-of-the mill
We should err in the side of caution
Pull some strings
Chime in
Cut someone some slack
On-up
At my wits'end
Give a Heads up
Excellent lesson, Wes !! I learned many new frases , thank you 🙏🏻🌷✨🙏🏻
ОтветитьThis is not a run-of-the-mill lesson , it’s very informative 🎉
Ответить😮😮😮😮😮😅😅😮😅😅😅😅
ОтветитьThank you so much ❤
ОтветитьThanks ❤this is the best lesson
ОтветитьI wanna to know if you could post about how to order food in English ,like when we go to stores ,or for instance when we buy things ,like clothes or candies 🍬 🍭
I want some help with that 😅❤
Thank you so very much for your excellent lessons! They are really very helpful and enjoyable.
ОтветитьPlease pull some strings Wes. I'm at my wit's end.
Ответить🎯My wife's father owns a lakeside cabin in Michigan.
🎯My wife's father owns a lakeside cabin out in Michigan.
❓Does adding 'out' change the meaning of the sentence??
Wes ,could you pull your strings because i want to travel to New York. among red tapes, visas, inquiries....it is a nightmare.
ОтветитьThis is a great lesson. I like how you teach. Just wanted to point out there is a typo on one-up. No biggie.
ОтветитьYou are the best
ОтветитьI am eternally grateful for such even run-of-the-moil but irreplaceable videoses. I am not going to drag my feet and I intend to try pull strings to overcome my inaction. I am second-guess myself that It’s needles to chime in, to be one-up everybody else. Thanks for you to go to bar for us. We will never let you be vet some slack by mads
ОтветитьLove u from egypt go go❤❤❤
ОтветитьTeacher Wes, I have had that up to here!
ОтветитьThank you very mụch❤❤❤❤. When you teach an advanced word or phrases in a sentence, could you please rewrite the sentence in different levels so that we can absorb easily? E.g in advanced, in C, in B, in A, in business English, in daily English...❤❤❤
ОтветитьGreat video , sir👍
ОтветитьHi Teacher
please topic "Lies with" "Lies in" and other related to this
I wonder the cartoon called "Regular Show" being written by linguistics, they would name it as " Run-of-the-mill show"
ОтветитьHello, Wes. Thank you for the lesson. You explanation was totally comprehensive. I feel my English level’s getting up thanks to you) And I don’t wanna be at my wits’ end with these expressions. So, in further these expressions require some time in brushing up on them. And yep, this wasn’t a run-of-the-mill lesson, and you know, your advanced ones go to bat for me in learning English, indeed. Waiting for the next advanced lessons)
ОтветитьAfter I watched this video, I second-guessed myself, and did a double take. All this time I've been dragging my feet on my English lessons and cut myself too much slack, and as a result my English is still run-of-the-mill. I'm kind of at my wit's end, until you chimed in and gave me a heads up on how I should one-up myself. My father pulled some strings and foot the bill for my English education, so I should not disappoint him. And I will go to bat for my son too in his language studies.
...
I hope I got them right😅
thanks very much, I hop you will continue regurlarly to publish this kind of content

ОтветитьI am not dragging my feet when it comes to watching another of your video lessons, teacher Wes. Thanks a bunch!
ОтветитьC u next time
ОтветитьIt's all very cool but if just learn like such expressions and idioms in such number in one time it's unreal for almost buddy I think it's better reading more and stressed such cases gradually cuz if make watching movies and take such expressions out there it's very long and inconvenient way I think.Of course everyone choose by himself what to do. Thank you
ОтветитьYou're definitely not my run-of-the-mill teacher.
You're good. You know what you are doing.
I am at my wits' end waiting for the every upcoming video). Your lessons are not average run-of-the-mill waste of time and I always allocate time to watch them!
ОтветитьToo lazy to scroll through all the comments but there is a typo on-up instead of one up. Besides that it's a great lesson
ОтветитьI think it sounds weird to me that if you don't hit the like button, I will cut you some slack. Isn't it right that if you don't hit the like button, I will not cut you any slack? I'm curious. Is it just me?
ОтветитьGREAT TEACHER INDEED! ❤
ОтветитьEpic
ОтветитьThanks for watching! I hope you enjoyed the lesson and learned something new. 🤗 ***CORRECTION: I just want to note that there was a typo about halfway through the lesson. The phrase is to 'ONE-UP (SOMEONE).' 👍
