Spore was the greatest hype biggest disappointment game i bought i hate EA with a passion since and i do not think i ll even try games like spore but maybe this is good.

In total I definitely think that needs to be two types of game that take from spors example

First offer more realistic evolution game like the one in this video and the other one being a bit more on the fantasy site allowing you to fall to have upgrades and abilities that you normally wouldn't have but still having the full customizability to your evolution that spore presented


Disney people who want to play a realistic evolution game can get what they want and people who want to play a less realistic one based more song phantasy evolution can get there fill as well


Hell would love a game that has both and you just tag along or off specific options to control the realism of your evolution and whether or not if you're going to be controlling this evolution or if you just going to let it randomly happen

Bro I know typing this won’t help you in the video and I’m also months too late. But you don’t need 6 cells right off the bat especially when they are all the same. Instead you should make more specialized cells that produce more energy, and maybe even some with faster movements

I would love to see how well it would go to try and make a "predator plant", a plant creature that can use photosynthesis to stave off starvation, but thrives on hunting mostly

I love the idea of "speedrunning" Thrive. Just makes me think of an organism that is trying to speedrun evolution

I like that it's a more scientific version of spore I'm just really awaiting the creature stage if they do that right i think they can make an amazing game

It's been a year-ish since I've seen spike

You won't just be able to be a creature, you will also be able to be a plant, or a fungus, or your own original thing you can't find on Earth.

Also the easter egg you encountered in the beginning has a really low spawn rate so the fact it happened so fast is nuts.

Note also that you don't need to collect phosphate and ammonia to grow anymore, though it makes your growth faster.

Multicellular reproduction is currently done via budding. As an organism grows its cells don't get bigger- it gets more cells. When you're this small, you're born as just one cell that buds off from the main organism. You don't get kicked from multicellular, nor are the cells assembling themselves. They're just growing.

If you can't produce glucose in your patch but you want to survive off of it, move to a higher patch and eat photosynthesizers. They will contain glucose. Hydrogen sulfide is not a good method for a multicellular organism as it doesn't produce much glucose. Your best bet if you evolve a glucose eater in low patches is to move to high patches.
Predators also need cilia if they're large so they can actually turn to their prey.

Glucose NEEDS to be gained through predation or photosynthesis in later stages of the game because the spawn rate of clouds drops to near zero.

You can also use a cell with too low ATP production as long as there's other cells to fuel it. The stem cell should be good enough to fuel a simple cell.

have you seen the barely started macroscopic stage? there isn't even a map yet and its completely unplayable but its still kinda neat.
