i have been disputing late payments for over a year and lenders don't seem to want to delete them

When you challenge your credit reports because of an error, they will remove the negative item long enough to verify the item, fix the error and put it right back on your reports. fact!

For those who did not know..disputing online automatically waves a lot of your chances to have it handled..writing it makes it easier to dispute..specially since the machine they use can reject letters if it thinks it’s not written by the real entity so try to spell words wrong on purpose or write messy here and there on your letter as well so the machine can not reject it and they have no choice but to respond and fix the problem ✊🏾😤

You cannot get a mortgage loan with active disputes on your credit report. There is harm in trying to dispute. If the dispute fails, you have to get them to remove the dispute by sending letters and waiting.

Experian is Bullshytt .. I disputed something and Equifax and Transunion removed it but Experian refuses and it’s the only thing lowering it.. F.. Experian 🤬

2. Is it okay to have more than 1 or 2 credit card... any benefits for having up to 2 or 3 credit cards.

Better still, get rid of your credit rating completly. Write to the reference agencies and DEMAND that they delete ALL data they hold about you. The data was probably obtained without your consent and is an invasion of your right to privacy. Initially they will probably refuse so be persistent. Claim that the records contain errors, they will ask for details to correct the errors, refuse this request, even if there are no errors you have put doubt in their minds and their records and that way the data they have is useless. You will have to be persistent.

When you get these pests off your back save money by not using credit at all. Cut up all credit cards you may have and ask your bank for a Debit card instead so that you can obtain cash from an ATM.

Debt free feels wonderful.
