What was up with the shoe standing on toes in the opening shot

my complaint with all these video essays is there are actually some animals you NEED to maintain eye contact with. the moment you look away is their opportunity to strike. so far every video essay about this movie makes the claim that you should never look any wild animal directly in the eyes which just isn't true

I just noticed that the alien masks dupe sold on his ranch looked exactly like the sides of the cameras from the Gordy set.

They did the same “don’t look at the monster and it won’t kill you” thing in Blair Witch Reboot and it was stupid there too.

OJ was the only likable character in the movie

What I got from this film is a not so hood, hood chic and a one word speaking brother saves the world from a horse eating alien species with a balloon..

I didn't even realize jupe thought he had control and was killed by what he thought he was friends with

I didn’t like the movie in anyway if this was the meaning it’s way to hidden msg for me and the acting wasn’t great for me even though those are two amazing actors I feel they didn’t have anything to act with made them seem like cheesy actors I was bored and lost the whole movie not a movie for me but if anybody like it help me like it with more information lol I did like his first movie get out but this one is just way to to to for me lol idk what that kebabs but hey 😂

The monster looks like a bug/insect, because why is the praying mantis helping it (sorta) the anatomies also resembles some sort of insect, it flies, have wings, retractable mouth/mandibula!

I dont get what were they trying to do

I think it might have made more sense for OJ to live and for his sister to come back as a vision, with OJ realizing he can handle things by himself now. Because he wasnt able to perform the job on the movie set after his father died. His sister was the one helping him, really.

Jaws redux

This video didn't explain a thing about the movie. Just told what happened as if you didn't see the movie at all. No worries. I thought the movie didn't make sense either.

The part of this movie that makes no sense to me is what the hell is Jupe doing?

Okay, so, he knows about this alien... and he's feeding it horses... aaaaaand... he's just using it as a pathetic sideshow attraction?

And what even is happening on that scene? He bought a $4,000 horse so like 8 yokels could show up and watch a horse get eaten? Is that what was happening? Did anyone ever see the alien, or do they just see a horse get sucked up into a vortex? Nobody thought that was weird? Nobody ever talked about that? "Yeah I went to this western theme park and watched a horse get sucked 3,000 feet in the air into a cloud"?

That entire part of the movie makes absolutely no sense.

I liked this movie even though I didn't get it at all

I think antler's film survived it all. That's part of what made it a "happy" ending cause they got the proof they wanted and OJ and his sister will be famous for killing the alien. They definitely will have recovered it's corpse.

The monster was very lovecraftian, in the sense that it was a 4th dimensional being as it revealed towards the end. Impossible to comprehend it’s true structure

So i gusse this movie will never be showed on tv! i never saw it but i actually thought it seemed pretty good. i gusse this movie will join the never be aired again! like the Mcpherson family adbuction. super mario brothers 93 movie and others to bad the 2016 crappy Ghostbusters movie couldn't be Erased from Existences.

Another subtle foreshadow I noticed, was when the owner of Jupiter’s claim hesitated when OJ offered his buy back deal.

I missed it in the first screening but the second time i saw it, i realized that she closes her eyes for a moment to check if she is hallucinating and opens them back up and cries seeing him standing der. clearly meaning he is alive.

I feel OJ survived because Jordan Peele also made Nope in tribute to the Black Cowboys, who Hollywood all but erased. And what is more poetic than having a Black Cowboy appear from the smoke atop a black horse in the hero shot?

This movie was such a let down

So was the alien mimicking shapes at one point it looked like the rim of a cowboy hat then a parachute?

It kind of reminded me Jaws!

This film was nicely shot but ultimately disappointing. That alien was not scary, not "Jaws."

This movie was just basically Peele taking elements from Signs and Jaws. The ending was pretty much like Jaws except 4 people on land instead of 3 people on a boat. The cinematographer was a stand in for Quint and the Frye guy was Richard Dreyfuss, both siblings were the sheriff.

I just watched it, my first viewing. Wonderful film. Just noticed a connection. Her father had a coin in his skull and the director nodded to it at the very end; the only way for the photographs to work in the well was by inserting coins.

I also saw some comparison with the alien's mouth baring resemblance to an old fashioned camera with the cape around it (I don't know the term). Sometimes the hole looked square.. like to mimick the look of a square camera lens. Maybe that wasn't the intention but that's what I took away from it. Thanks for your video, I was confused by the chimp scenes.

It was a cool movie until she kills the alien. They give no hint as to how it could be killed and suddenly in a panic she just figures it out? Kinda dumb. Like there was no thought put into the death scene. The rest of the movie was pretty good though.

That UFO was terrifying.

I didn't even catch that Jupiter was trying to connect with the Jean Jacket creature like he did with Gordy.

Could be in reference to Daniel Kaluuya not being casted Black Panther 2 ??
